Naughtons in Kilkee

We had an excellent dinner at Naughton’s Bar in Kilkee. Our group of five showed up with one more than our reservation allowed, but Elaine handled it with ease and got us seated quickly without fuss. The service throughout the evening was prompt, friendly, and clearly well organized — the whole team is on point. Before dinner we had the pleasure of chatting with Paddy Collins behind the bar. His knowledge of Kilkee’s history, his great personality, and his warm hospitality set the tone for the night. He’s a gem. The food itself was absolutely delicious — starters and mains alike were top-notch, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. Combine that with the very fair pricing and you get excellent value for money. Naughton’s is truly a testament to what makes Kilkee special: great food, genuine people, and welcoming service. Big thanks to Elaine, Paddy, and the whole team for a wonderful evening. We’ll definitely be back!

Arrived and it took 10 minutes for someone to take our food order (no biggy) the food was excellent I would recommend the burger. Nicest food in Kilkee. However when we were trying to leave (we understood we had our table for 2 hours) we struggled to find someone to get the bill from (for 5 mins) A waitress came over and asked us nicely to leave as she had another table coming in. We mentioned that we never got the bill and she apologised and left. 5 minutes later my grandfather goes up to the bar to pay the bill as still no sign of anyone dropping it to our table. After the bill is paid my grandfather returns to the table and briefly gathers his things (in his late 80s) before the manager comes over and asks us to leave again? Just left us with a sour taste in our mouths. I will of course be returning to naughtons as I have since I was a child with hopefully better communication between staff management and customers.

Great restaurant. Food was amazing. The scampi has to be tried !! Lovely friendly staff. Reasonable priced.

Quite simply - the star attraction from a foodie’s perspective in Kilkee! Naughton’s and Naughton’s Yard serve up delicious food in restaurants to rival any! Well run by the owner ! Staff so well trained and all in a gorgeous ambience of delicious food, decor and atmosphere . Bravo Naughton’s ! Thoroughly enjoyed every visit whilst on hols here ! Great bar too for before and after dinner drinks . Thanks Paddy, Elaine and Robert ! Xx

The place itself is very nice, and the staff is friendly and offers very fast service. The restaurant is very clean, well-decorated, and cheerful, with many classy touches: it's an extremely pleasant place. It was quite busy, so booking in advance is recommended; I only recommend it out of caution, though we found a table right away. The meals we ate were simply average; the menu included some typical dishes, nothing special. The restaurant also has outdoor seating.

Absolutely amazing experience! The food was not only delicious but beautifully presented — every dish looked like a work of art. The service was warm, fast, and made us feel truly welcome. And the prawns... wow! So fresh and full of flavor — a must-try!

Excellent chowder and prawn curry and everyone else at my table were happy were their food too. A few things letting it down. The bread was dry and thin, butter was skimpy and just out of the fridge, meals not coming at the same time and having to ask for the bill a number of times. I would have given a tip as I felt the staff were friendly and accommodating, unfortunately a service charge was added in without prior notice.

A welcoming and cosy pub with local fresh food. Lovely prompt service and a great vibe.

For the staff, please be more empathetic and careful.
