A recommendation from a someone we met in Sligo hospital (thank you Marilyn). We really enjoyed our Chicken Tikka Biryani. We'll be back and Ali the owner is very welcoming.

The food is good quality and it is nice but I have had 3 dishes from here - korma, butter chicken and tikka masala and they all taste pretty much the same. All the dishes are incredibly sweet and I can't understand how a butter chicken and tikka masala can have the same colour and taste as a korma. The only difference is the korma had a slight coconut flavour compared to the others.

I was alone in the restaurant but the owner son was very polite and chatty. I asked for extra hot and fresh chillies and he kindly chopped and brought it for. I enjoyed the dinner very much. For sure I will be returning to this restaurant on my monthly visit to the school. Thank You

Cawley's Guesthouse Sligo

01/02/2026: Perfect service! The woman at reception noticed I was cold and offered to bring a radiator to our room. Very welcoming, a wonderful experience, and there's parking at the hotel. If we're passing by, we'll definitely stop by again! I also had pasta in a white sauce with mussels and prawns; I highly recommend it! (corrected: I ordered a starter, but feel free to order a full portion)
31/10/2025: we had a meal there today as it was my son's graduation. The waitress was very friendly . my salad was nice but the turkey dinner my son had was just not great with big chunks of veg and mash was a bit dry. my partner asked for a ham sandwich which was very unappetizing and visually just two big triangles of bread wit ham stuffed in the middle. the dinner cost over 18 euro and we just expected a bit better value for money. it wasn't busy there and just thought food is not visually great and could be more appealing.
