Not sure this is 4.6 restaurant. Food was really bland with no table spices to overcome the product received from kitchen. Go elsewhere!

My husband and I were in No. 19 last Saturday evening.
The menu was lovely, the meal we both got was gorgeous. The wine menu very extensive.
Our reservation was for 7pm, but didn't get our food until 7.55pm.
For me, that was too long await.
For a prestigious restaurant, that wasn't good enough.

Came here with friends and this was the main evening for our stay in Kinsale, and it didn't disappoint! What a treat... From the grand room to the friendly welcome and gorgeous food, this place has everything to make your evening the best it can be.
The food was so full of flavors and well presented, suggestions by the very professional and friendly staff was on point.
We will definitely be back here when visiting Kinsale again. Highly recommend to all. :-)

We had an excellent experience. The food and wine were excellent, and almost all of the menu was gluten free. The service was exceptional, the staff was friendly, helpful, and obviously took pride in providing great service.

Fantastic Ambient, really clean and with good attention to details. High quality food. we'll be back for sure. highly recommended.
Update 2025
Reducing by one star for the food and one star for the service. Overall three star only.
Latest experience was not so great. Food quality decreased compared to few years ago, I would define it as less authentic. Service no more then four stars. Atmosphere still cool and calming. Unclear if I'll go back another time.

Main dining room has a wonderful ambiance. Staff were very friendly and gave just the right amount of attention to us. Food was delicious! We had langoustine and chicken liver pate to start followed by the pork chop and hake for main course with a side of the charred cabbage. Good wine list and some non-alcoholic options too. The Irish strawberry cheese was fabulously light and not too sweet. Overall, a lovely dinner.

Great atmosphere and service, lovely setting. One main was good but sadly the other was almost inedible. The overall appearance of the dish on arrival was off putting. A huge amount of charred chicken sitting on a large amount of a mayonnaise type sauce with a large portion of charred salad!veg which was drowned in a strong balsamic dressing. No subtlety to contrast with the charred chicken

Best meal we had in kinsale! Had the beef short ribs and was the best meal I've had in a very long time - the flavours were incredible, would highly recommend. Bonus was that almost every item on the menu was gluten free including the desserts!
We were there on a Thursday evening so it was fairly quiet but I believe it gets busy every other night of the week. Fantastic service too - will definitely be back next time we're in kinsale.

Highly recommended! We have dined at No. 19 on numerous occasions and have been delighted every time. The food, staff and ambiance are outstanding. Sarah is warm, welcoming and very knowledgeable about the wine selection and menu. Chef Cristian prepares absolutely wonderful dishes. My husband had a ribeye on our last visit that he deemed one of the best he's ever had. With advance warning, Chef Cristian also prepares delicious off-menu vegan dishes for me on every visit, offering me different selections on different visits...all fabulous! The ambiance in the building is lovely and we particularly enjoy the table my the fireplace. Don't miss the chance to dine at No. 19! Bill and Barbie Kelly
