No. 19 Restaurant in Kinsale

We came in on a windy evening and received excellent service and a great meal. The waitress was so friendly and helpful and the vibes were very cozy. We both got the short rib and thought it was excellent.

Not a single dinner will ever compare to the magic of the meal we had here. First, I had doubts I would be able to dine here as a celiac. Once I found out they were 99% gluten free, it became impossible to decide what to eat! The menu changes often - as it should for a restaurant of this caliber. But still look at past menus so that you know what you’re getting into. We had a starter, a main and two sides plus dessert and a few bottles of wine. And the price point is incredible for the amount of food and enchantment. The chef is Italian and they have several culinary grills to make incredible foods. He cooks from his heart. Don’t skip on desert. Seriously the most safe for gluten free and satisfied I’ve been in all of Ireland.

Best meal I’ve had in Ireland so far. Plus it’s completely gluten free (except for one sourdough) and my wife ate to her hearts content. Brilliant execution and service, plus the fireplace warmed us on a chilly, rainy night. If you stumble across this gem you have the best luck. I’d fly back to Ireland for another meal.

Absolutely delicious at No.19! I’m surprised it has very few reviews. It’s interior is so warming and lovely, the fire inside on a cold October’s evening is such a nice touch. The lady who was serving us, seems to run the place, was so helpful, friendly and welcoming. The ham hock terrine, pickled vegetables and sourdough bread to start were 10/10. Our mains (short rib and chicken) were excellent so tasty and so was the brownie. Excellent value, if only we lived in Kinsale we’d be here very regularly!!

We had a great experience at No19. It was perfect from start to finish. First the space itself is stunning. But it’s the food that is fabulous. We have eaten at many many restaurants all over America and Europe and this restaurant is at the top of the list. The owner is as nice as can be which made the experience even more memorable. So wonderful - we had dinner 2 nights in a row here! It’s not easy finding a traditional steak in Southern Ireland but this was FABULOUS. Local and dry aged. The chicken was also amazing. After a lot of traditional Irish meals, this felt a little more like home with an Irish charm 🇺🇸🇮🇪

Beautiful food, great service, lovely atmosphere. Best meal I’ve had in a while. Monkfish was gorgeous.

We were on Monday, but please reserve a table… you can book online the table in his website.. easily and faster. About food! Amazing.. local product but cooked with care and simplicity.. no like an iris pub ( sorry) but really like an international cousins! Most of the preparation are done by chef ( also bread) .. wine list very interesting to match with food! Price in line with the offer.. for me No expensive ( compare to the Italian actual price for a dinner)

Flawless all round. Service and food were excellent. We had the short rib and the ribeye. Vegetables were the perfect accompaniment. Would definitely recommend it.
