No. 35 in Kenmare

No. 35 came highly recommended and it did not disappoint. Every dish was just perfect. And the staff were so friendly and welcoming. One of the best meals I’ve had in years.

We had made a reservation at this lovely restaurant for our one night in Kenmare. We were seated on time upstairs , which was a quiet and cozy room with only a few tables. The wine selection was good and we had a wonderful meal, easily the best meal we had on our entire 10 days in Ireland. We started with the pear, pecan and blue cheese salad, a nice portion, easily split for two people with just the right amount of dressing. The Mancini balls with goat cheese were very tasty. Our meals were delicious , the hake with potatoes and leeks and the lamb ragu. All of it was outstanding. However, the service was terrible. Our waitress, Emily, was impatient and rude. We asked a few questions as it was our first time dining here and wanted a few moments to look at the menu. She rolled her eyes at us the first time and the second time when she returned with our water when we had a question about the wine. When we asked if we were bothering her, she said no but proceeded to ignore our table the rest of the evening , notably chatting and serving other tables nearby. We are not difficult patrons and are very engaging and gracious to those that work hard in restaurants. We didn't let it ruin our meal. Her lack of service was reflected in her lack of tip and we did speak to the manager on the way out when he asked us how our meal was. I would return because of the outstanding food, but ask for a different server.

Number 35 is a true gem in Kenmare town. The Black Soul dish was absolutely delicious—rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Neil, the head waiter, was incredibly knowledgeable and made excellent recommendations, enhancing the whole dining experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a relaxing evening. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and service!

The most gorgeous meal we had during our Ireland trip. We didn’t book ahead but we managed to get a lovely table downstairs. Every dish was amazing with lots of wows and yums from the both of us. We would travel to Kenmare again just to eat here.

Delicious food, friendly and attentive service and fairly priced. Very happy!

The food here is great and the service was too! Some of the highlights were the Irish Lamb Ragu, the Garlic Mushrooms, and the Baked Brie. Definitely call ahead for a reservation, but walk-ins are available.

Down from Dublin for weekend & made a visit to this little gem, couldn’t believe our luck from the friendly staff to the wonderful food it was such a find, the manager Neil was superb & the food absolutely beautiful and all at a very reasonable price, squid for starters. Black sole & lamb chops for mains & two glasses of red wine all for 100€ couldn’t recommend it enough

El ambiente del encantador espacio histórico combinado con un excelente servicio y una deliciosa comida fue una cálida bienvenida en nuestra primera noche en Kenmare. El personal fue muy atento y ofreció sugerencias. Tenía la Merluza y mi marido la hamburguesa Wagyu. Partimos el postre de pera con helado. Mi marido dejó su sombrero allí, y afortunadamente lo recogimos la noche antes de salir de Kenmare.
