No.8 Tapas Bar in Westport

The food was superb. If the staff were awful, we would still be excited to go back and try something else. Thankfully, they are polite and friendly. We will be talking about our evening here for some time to come.

Stunning restaurant with great surroundings. The food was fabulous, Mussels and Piri Piri Prawns are to die for. The service was excellent and the prices are resonable for the quality and presentation of the food. Well done No8 thank you. Derek

Wow, what delicious food! And the wine selection is one of the better at the restaurants we visited.

Incredible food and huge “tapas” portions. Try the mussels (I don’t normally like mussels). They are local from Killary Fjord and are unbelievably light yet flavourful of the sea. The staff are all super nice and accommodating, and the cooks and some of the other staff are from Spain! We were absolutely stuffed. Really the best experience I’ve had yet in Ireland. Just be careful of the little round things in the garlic shrimp that look like peanuts (they are very hot peppers!) They don’t make the shrimp spicy unless you bite into a pepper. I’m a foodie from Toronto and found this tapas bar absolutely a joy to dine at.

The atmosphere was very good. The garlic bread and the mushrooms are delicious. Very expensive though, wouldn't go back for that reason personally.
