Nutmeg Maynooth in Maynooth

Going downhill fast. This place was so lovely when it opened it's such a shame that there are so many issues. There's many things on the menu that they never have in stock and the bathrooms are in a poor state. Went today for lunch and the waiter didn't seem to know what they actually had in stock and had to keep checking, there was about 4 tables waiting and no food coming out. After about 40 minutes we eventually got our food which seemed very rushed and bland. Their cakes are lovely and its a lovely place, it seems run by a bunch of young friends and it's becoming less efficient as time goes on.

The food is class, the bakery offering is varied and everything I've tried is good. But if you're going to post opening hours, you need to stick to them. I walked in the door at 17:10 and was told you closed early. That's almost 2 hours before your posted closing time and really rubbish for people who might want to buy things after they finish work.

Such a lovely place you would hardly realise was there it looks just like a small place from the front but is definately worth a visit, from Coffee and cake to lunch and the staff are lovely and friendly.

Excellence in all aspects!! Was visiting from Belfast and decided to get brunch. Ordered the shakshuka, buffalo wings and french bread... All were spectacular and cooked with flavour. Would recommend and visit again

Stunning place, with gorgeous and tasty food. There's a very relaxing vibe there, and amazing options for breakfast and brunch, which is quite hard to find in Dublin south, especially for being Halal restaurant. Staff is very helpful and friendly and the sweets are freshly baked and not only beautiful, but extremely delicious. Our second visit, and it's definitely my favourite spot to start my days.

Update and Bakery Review Below Will update once we actually manage to eat there, but I must write a review. We tried eating there three times now, all times it said online that it’s open. We tried going there again and it’s closed! Again! It’s Sunday brunch time. 😂 Is this café ever actually open? UPDATE We finally managed to come when the place was open. I do hope they have fixed their online opening hours since, because honestly that is the only thing I can fault them for. We both got a full Irish and juices, and my goodness it was delicious. One of my favorites around town. The place itself looks lovely, and the staff were very nice. Everything was clean and the seats were super comfortable. All in all a very nice place for brunch. BAKERY I have recently reached out to order a birthday cake. I read that their cakes were magnificent, which I will never know because I never got to actually make an order. After calling and being told to WhatsApp the order, most of my questions were left unanswered. I have gotten a one sentence response back which did not address any of my questions, made me think the person was super overwhelmed and wonder why they offer birthday cakes at all. I would love to try their cakes, but with such a curious interaction, I will never know.

Delicious full breakfast with healthy options Coffee was so so good as was the herbal tea we had with the tastiest cheesecake ever. They have the best variety of pastries etc.

Great place to eat with a good atmosphere and high quality food

I would just like to start off the food was lovely I came in on a Thursday with my girlfriend, the place was lovely and welcoming there was a certain worker with long curly hair and grey joggers he served us with great service and a smile he was very welcoming he also made us coffee which had a beautiful design and it tasted lovely might be the best coffee I ever tasted, so I’ll be sure to visit again.

By far this place is the best in Maynooth! I’ve tried most of their dishes it’s always delicious. Exceptional service and staff are very welcoming. I love their pancakes for my brunch topped off with strawberry & cream 🥞😍😍 highly recommended if you’re looking for a cozy atmosphere and just good desserts.
