Oar House in Dublin

Went in for lunch on a busy day, but the service and food were still excellent.

The welcome was very warm and pleasant, as was the service. The dishes were refined, fresh, of good quality, and beautifully presented. We found the value for money to be very good.

Came on Christmas Eve without a reservation but still managed to get a table for a late lunch. Pasta was fresh and delicious whilst the hot chocolate with marshmallows was everything one could ask for on a cold windy day! Great friendly staff too.

Special mention to our two waitresses that day, Aifric and Maisie—smiling, helpful, and polite—the perfect combination, especially considering it was Sunday and it's always difficult to work on a day when everyone else is off work. 🙏

Beautiful place, super fresh fish, and amazing desserts! The staff is friendly, helpful, and never intrusive. We'll definitely be back.

Very friendly staff and an authentic atmosphere. The oysters were plump and excellent (although they seemed a bit pricey at €3.50 each). The fish and chips... The fish was very good but completely mushy. The batter was soaked in oil like a sponge. It was really unpleasant. I'm giving the food 3 stars because the batter was awful, but the fish was good, the blue cheese sauce was excellent, and the fries were cooked twice (but still not exceptional). It's also a shame about the starter; we would have needed more bread to enjoy the sauce on the prawns (Buffalo Tiger Prawn, don't expect anything crispy), which was really good!

Delicious, welcoming, friendly staff! Small and colorful!

Chowder soup is nice, only seafood dishes are not bad.
