O'Briens Café in Athlone

21/10/2024: Would have been given a 5 star rating for KFC Athlone. Unfortunately, it was the 25c deposit on the return seam that let the place down. I was charged the 25c on my drinks and guess what it's all old stock that's been sold . When I questioned this, I was told by the manager that "any bottle return would take it, and I would get my deposit back." The more I tried to explain, the bottle didn't have the R for the return and that you can't be charging deposit in the first place he kept showing me the barcode on the bottle. At that stage, I just lost all hope and asked for my money back for the deposit. Eventually, I got it back. The moral of the story is that KFC Athlone is charging 25c deposit on old stock and making a fortune from it .

21/10/2024: Zingy burger was certainly zinging but my wife a good judge of chicken said it was very dry. Everything else extra fine 😁
