O'Connell's in Galway

There are so many “best pubs in Ireland” lists. The truth is that there are great pubs everywhere in the country and O’Connell’s is one of those. It has so many different areas that it’s like visiting a bunch of pubs at once. We ordered at three bars in O’Connell’s and each person was as friendly as the other. We stopped one last time and asked the bartender for whiskey recommendations. He asked a few questions and came back with two pours to taste. One of those ended up being the bottle I purchased later to take back to the States. Can’t wait to visit again!

This place has options: whiskey, beer and bartender can all be shuffled until you find the perfect combination.

Cool pub with a beer garden and pizzeria, where you can quickly get a delicious pizza to go with your beer while enjoying live music.
