We went there because it said it was dog friendly online, got there they said a dog wasn't allowed we had a quiet border collie.

Friday, with music playing. A large pub with a great atmosphere, a must-visit. Yes, it's noisy, but worth it. They even had a pizza stand inside.

Such a great vibe when visiting Galway! Outdoor beer garden is heated and has dough bros pizza in the back, service is friendly and fast. This place is a must visit when in Galway for some pizza and a Guinness!

Bartender was great and acknowledged everyone that came in. For a solo traveler, its nice to still be seen. Definitely gets busy and loud and this was at 6pm. Wonder how it gets after 8pm .

Nice place to get a Guinness and some pizza. Do not skip the garlic and herb aioli when getting pizza. It turns good pizza into great pizza.

20/05/2026: We held a large group here last Wednesday and would highly recommend. The food was absolutely fantastic and the Jekyl room is amazing. Thank you Hyde!
14/05/2026: A group of 5 of us had a booking here after work. We were seated straight away and our server was Yehor, he was so good, attentive and was humorous with us. He was so apologetic when our deserts were late, not that we complained, well done Yehor, we all enjoyed our food, and the cocktails and mocktails were lovely. Staff are very friendly and the decor is nice. Would definitely call in again

The Skeff

09/09/2025: Authentic pub with fantastic food! Service was rather mediocre.
09/09/2025: The Skeff is part of the The Skeffington Arms Hotel. Food was very good. The Seafood Chowder and a couple of (non!) Stout beers from other parts of Ireland were a welcomed change of pace. IPA's, actually. One from Letterkenny, and the other from Kill, County Kildare. Other than the service being just a tad slow, it was (overall) very good. And the live music was magical this night. Okay...Not exactly magical, but covers from bands/artists that everyone knows, sung by a group of a youngish band of 3 called The Groev. They did a great job, actually.
