Nice pub with live music. Unfortunately, Irish music is only played midweek. When we were there, it was more country music. The open fireplace was cozy. Prices were reasonable. The pub was very busy.

Had our engagement party here and couldn’t have asked for a better spot. I also had my 30th here before and it was just as brilliant. The staff are always so friendly and helpful, and the pints of Guinness are top-notch. Such a great place for any occasion, the owner runs it so well. Highly recommend!

16/11/2025: What I most appreciate about this place is the consistency. The quality of food and service is one of the best you can get in Galway. Never once we have been disappointed in food or the atmosphere. To the point that we actually do not bother with any other places whenever we visit Galway. I especially recommend the chicken Cajun salad 👍

The Skeff

09/09/2025: Authentic pub with fantastic food! Service was rather mediocre.
09/09/2025: The Skeff is part of the The Skeffington Arms Hotel. Food was very good. The Seafood Chowder and a couple of (non!) Stout beers from other parts of Ireland were a welcomed change of pace. IPA's, actually. One from Letterkenny, and the other from Kill, County Kildare. Other than the service being just a tad slow, it was (overall) very good. And the live music was magical this night. Okay...Not exactly magical, but covers from bands/artists that everyone knows, sung by a group of a youngish band of 3 called The Groev. They did a great job, actually.
