Visited as a tourist couple. Lots of parking opposite the pub and spotted easily on the way into town. Nice decor inside, very authentic, a little dark since we were sat away from the windows, not an issue on the whole. Considering the majority of the reviews state that the service is 5 star, sadly, we didn't feel all too welcome. No hello or smile when we entered the building. Then when our drinks came, the staff member proceeded to throw the placemats on the table which was surprising and rude?! The food arrived soon after and it was amazing, we ordered fish and chips and massaman curry, couldn't fault anything on either dish. However, nobody came over to ask how we were doing and didn't offer any more drinks unfortunately. After we finished it was some time before staff took our plates, even though there was only us and one other table. we were considering a dessert but honestly didn't feel like it due to the poor service all round. Settled the bill at the bar, gentleman who took our payment was the most friendly and asked us how the food was and gave us a friendly smile. Think it was a one-off as the service is usually great from what the reviews say. Stomachs full but a little dissapointed on the whole.

We stopped here for lunch on a tour to Galway. When we arrived (about 90 people), they were ready to welcome us. It didn't take long for them to bring out the food, which, by the way, was a long time since I'd had something so flavorful. The soup of the day was the best I've had in a long time, and the beef was also excellent. My friend ordered a burger, which she also really liked. The price was very reasonable for the portions and quality. I recommend it.

A very atmospheric place where you want to come back again and again. The interior creates coziness and disposes to a pleasant pastime. The food is beyond praise - everything is fresh, beautifully served and really tasty. It is especially pleasant to note the work of the staff: attentive, friendly and always ready to help with the choice of dishes. An excellent combination of quality, service and atmosphere!

A great spot to sit outside on a summer night to watch the sun go down. Honest food from surf and turf, chowder is great!

Fine fare, the best Hake I have ever tasted -a feast after a long trip and hike.
Staff lovely, attentive and chatty without being intrusive -don't pass it by.

We stopped at this pub for lunch during an organized tour of the Cliffs of Moher and some of the surrounding villages, including Galway.
The place is large and spacious, clean, and quaint.
Because of the tour schedule and the large crowd, we thought we'd run out of time and have to rush for lunch. That wasn't the case, as the service was super fast! After ordering, we waited just a few minutes for our food.
Everything was delicious; I tried the buffalo chicken wings with hot and smokey sauce, the best I've ever tasted, accompanied by an excellent beer!

We had a very nice dinner at the pub. There was a decent wait for a table, but they were very kind and did their best to seat us, even taking our order before our table was ready so when we sat the food came out pretty quick.
There aren't a ton of gluten free options but they did their best to accommodate. The seafood chowder was absolutely amazing, and they even substituted gluten free bread. Others in our group got the smash burgers and they said they were fantastic.
We didn't stick around for music unfortunately but the band members were very fun during their setup. Highly recommended!
Additional:
We enjoyed ourselves enough that we went back for dinner again. It was less busy this time. Everything was fantastic again! We all enjoyed our meals and the staff was great!

We ended up in Fanore yesterday unexpectedly. I quickly rang ahead and a table was reserved outside so we could take our little dog. From the moment we arrived, a fantastic chap called Donal warmly welcomed us and looked after us so well. He was helpful and entertaining without even trying to be! The food was excellent, highly recommend the O'Donohue's seafood linguine.
The view from the outside seating at the front was spectacular. There was great buzz to the place. Big thanks to Donal for top class Irish hospitality.
