Saving grace is the sandwiches they have in the fridge. Place has kinda devolved into a crèche since it opened, staff too are basically kids, owners/senior people are a bit weird too. Better nowadays than what was there before though

19/10/2025: My wife and I had our dinner date on La Peniche, and it was absolutely amazing. It's one thing to eat by the canal, but to actually cruise down it, passing through the old locks, is something else entirely. The food was delicious- I highly recommend the duck confit! The atmosphere was perfect, with great jazzy remakes of pop and rock songs playing. The fun little moment of having to crouch under a low stone bridge just added to the charm. A truly special night out.
