Wide variety on the menu and all locally sourced food prepared fresh when you order! Good choice of wine and drinks too. My husband got the lamb stew and I ordered the stuffed cod with salmon and cream cheese. Great portions and sides with very friendly service. The sticky toffee pudding is also to die for!

Had dinner here with my husband and we both agree it’s one of the best meals we’ve eaten during our entire trip to Ireland! SOO delicious and the portions were perfect. It felt like I was eating a real home cooked meal and it was 10/10.

Breakfast was ok, but apparently it was much better. I ate almost the entire portion and was very full. As for the taste - ok for me. Not the best coffee. Very nice service. Prices are average.

Beautiful place. Excellent service. Lambs shanks were tough. Hard to get the meat off the bone. Veg totally overcooked. Lamb stew was really good.

Abbeyglen Castle Hotel

17/11/2024: Fairytale venue for my cousin's wedding. Charming, high end hotel with impeccable service, exceptional food and real character. The rooms and common areas are refined and elegant without being stuffy or uncomfortable. Staff was absolutely lovely and made the experience one we won't soon forget. Location is wonderful ...you are kind of secluded, but in a few minutes walk you are in Clifden for shops, pubs, etc. Hope to be back soon!
16/11/2024: What a wonderful jewel in the crown. The staff are so professional, friendly, and helpful. The food was delicious, with ample servings (and more should you want some). A family run business (hotel) that's now in its second generation and the family work hard at making sure ALL guests are comfortable and looked after no matter the time of day.

31/10/2024: Thank you for this evening with traditional music and local gastronomy. Everything is there, the welcome, the service and the tasty dishes.
22/10/2024: No problem with our "princess" Pomeranian coming along. Great selection of seafood, meat dishes and hint of French and Indian influences/dishes. Dinner and lunch so far in past 24 hours and will be back on this break. Good pint of Guinness - no draught Murphy's or Coors.
