Okura Japanese Cuisine in Cork

We really enjoyed our meal - sushi was very good, staff was attentive, and owner was friendly. This will be a go to for us in Douglas.

This is our favourite restaurant in Cork. The food is always amazing. There is something for everyone on the menu too. I cannot recommend the lamb rack mojo enough especially with the pineapple spicy rice. I wouldn't be a fan of fish but even the crispy prawns starter is lovely. The staff are friendly and always attentive. Very family friendly and a good show when you can get a seat at the bar area.

Fantastic experience every time at Okura. The quality of the food is outstanding: always fresh, always delicious. Joe and the team are incredibly friendly and create a great atmosphere for families, groups, or casual dining. The rolls, temakis, and donburis are consistently top‑tier. The robot server adds a unique and memorable twist. A reliable favourite.

Beautiful food. Truly. We sat at the bar. The hibachi chef was so engaging. It was a Friday evening so the restaurant was quite full, which only increased the atmosphere, and the staff were busy. Totally understandable. The only disappointment was the online reservation portal. I had requested a table for two at 4 pm with apparently plenty of availability. I was told that someone would get in touch to confirm. We went anyway and got squeezed in at the bar. To be honest, it was a saving grace. The theatre of the chef made the evening unforgettable for my 9 year old son. "This is the greatest restaurant I have ever been to" he said.

I have walked past this restaurant so many times and I had not realised what I was missing, the atmosphere was beautiful and well decorated, the food was DELICIOUS and the staff were friendly and professional, one of the staff there seems like he was the one in charge, I didn’t catch his name but I like him a lot, he has a good humour which made us feel welcome and comfortable. Did I mention the food was DELICIOUS?! Every single dish was very tasty and the price was decent.

Japanese with funky robots delivering the food. Steak teppanyaki is unreal. Good sushi selection, sake, moutai. Super friendly wait staff especially the guy from HK.

Delicious food, delightful staff, and a singing robot. I'll definitely be back.

The food is great! But even though the place was half-empty that night, the waiters ignored our empty table for like half an hour. We had to wave them down. We asked for the dessert menu at the end but never got it. The head waiter's jokes were also out of place.
