Old Ground Hotel in Ennis

A fantastic hotel staff could not do enough for us x

Gorgeous old style hotel. Great location

We had dinner in the bar, delicious served by one of the nicest servers I've ever had the pleasure to meet, make sure to leave room for desserts because they were excellent.

A great hotel to stay in if you want to make it your base while staying in Clare. Staff were always so lovely and the room was very comfortable.

A beautiful old hotel with comfort at its heart. A welcoming, elegant 18th century manor house right in the center of Ennis. Glamorous bedrooms, great food in the Town Hall dining room. Glór and the new library within walking distance and a huge array of shops on the doorstep. Staff welcoming and friendly. It's definitely the top choice in Ennis.

Rather than staying at Shannon airport the night before our departure, we spent the night at the Old Ground. The Poets Corner was a fabulous place to meet up with all of our relatives for our final goodbyes and an easy drive to the airport in the am.

A great hotel in the heart of the town. First class service and staff. Good food and lovely views all around.

Likely the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The room was beautifully laid out and made up. We were there for 2 nights and the service at check in, check out, and every point between, was perfection. The staff were happy to chat and give recommendations for things to do and places to visit across Ireland, which really made us feel welcome. The breakfast and dinner was also surprisingly great! I ordered the baked salmon and it was cooked and prepared to perfection. We also enjoyed some time in the bar and the live music capped off the long days perfectly. We’d definitely come back!

Had coffee and the most amazing scones last week ...Hotel is full of character and grandeur,grandfather clock at reception / entrance hall and beautiful paintings...Staff v friendly and respectful... highly recommend a visit as its in town centre with free parking.

Did not stay there but ate there twice and attended an event. The food was excellent and the staff were great. Expensive.
