Excellent dinner, delicious fish soup and fish pie. Friendly and helpful staff.

We ordered steak, seafood chowder, seafood platter, 4.5 Guinness, lemon meringue and 2 Irish coffee for around €150. Fantastic value for money given the cosy venue and food was genuinely delicious. Definitely worth a visit as part of your trip to Donegal Town!

Our favorite spot in Donegal Town for a pint and some lunch or supper. So cozy and the staff is always so friendly and warm. Food always hits the spot. Best fish and chips in town and the steak and other seafood dishes are all wonderful.

A good place to eat before visiting the castle. The hours are long. The place is cozy and well-decorated, with tables resembling private reservations. The food is good and varied. Highly recommended!

The Olde Castle Seafood bar was exactly what we wanted. As a family of four they had an excellent selection of adult and kid meals. The fish is the real star of the place. We had a chat with the owner and he loves telling my boys about the lobster tank upstairs and going to the fish market to select the fish. A lovely old looking bar with great food.

A restaurant in central Donegal that doesn't take reservations. You eat early (the kitchen closes at 8:00 PM). We went on Sunday evening (6:30 PM). The food was good, from the oysters accompanied by Guinness to the very well-made fish pie. Desserts were beautifully presented (apple pie and pudding). Good service. The restaurant was busy, but they were good. A little pricey, but that's acceptable.
