Truly outstanding restaurant. One of the top 5 meals we have had in the last 5 years. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Venison, smokies and tiramasu truly magical.

Likely one of the best meals (dinner and breakfast) that I have ever had - and that is saying something. From the quaint sitting room where guests are first greeted and get to peruse the menu over an aperitif, to the rustic but sophisticated main dining room and welcoming spacious guest rooms, this place has it all. The wine list is impressive and the quality of the food is superb and it was worth every cent and more! We travelled extensively throughout our trip and this was by far my favourite spot. Highly recommended.

Fantastic business, staff, service and food. Great location to relax and meet up with friends. This place is one of the best in the country for looking after guests. Rooms spotless great nights sleep, really nice breakfast. Will be back again and again. Had a great overnight with friends.

11/10/2024: Well, it's just a blast here. The food, the place, the people, the whole island is simply TOP. It cannot be described, it must be seen and experienced. Beautiful, thanks.
07/10/2024: Loved our stay here . Food is fab in the restaurant in the evening and the breakfast is plentyfull . There's a bar to the rear and a good outdoor seating area . Staff are lovely , friendly and attentive. Would stay here again 🤩

Hunter's Hotel

03/11/2024: In my mind Ireland has lost so many things of beauty over the decades, but Hunters hotel has not changed since my first visit over 50 years ago. Having been brought there for my birthday luncheon where everything was every bit as good as I expected, even the weather which meant an enjoyable walk round the unique gardens. While enjoying today's Sunday luncheon with relations, it dawned on me how nice if a group of actors could arrive and sit down at an opposite table in period costume and act as though they were part of a Mrs Marpole drama. Especially as the perfect atmosphere is in this wonderful timewarp of a place, to have a number such enactments during the year.
