Once Upon a Thai in Trim

Having heard lots about this place, I had to check it out. The food is fairly good. I would say above average chicken wings. Wing sauce is lacking. The curry I had was a bit on the bland side. Their pad thai spring rolls, again a bit bland. Prawn crackers are premium and come with their own dip. I would probably have returned for the wings alone, but for two bug bears- It is (in my view) fairly overpriced. The wings, plus two large spring rolls, plus 1 curry, 1 rice was just approaching 40 quid. Bear in mind this is from a food van in a car park. Secondly, the order which had been placed online was handed to me, and in the same motion I was told I could tip her by card. A tip? For handing me my 3 items in a bag? This isn't America lads. Like an absolute ejit I tipped anyway, because of course I did. I won't be back unfortunately. Still, 3 stars as I got the food I asked for, and I ate it and it was grand.

Always a delicious meal, also we had to collect later than expected and there was no issue with this. Delighted we got to chat with the chef herself Auan, and get to tell her how much we enjoy her grub! A definite advantage on the culinary choices in Trim!
