Food was overpriced. Felt they were striving v hard to get a Michelin star. Paid 15€ suppl for the lobster tail but wasn't impressed. Chef seemed to fancy the sour taste as every dish had a sourish twist to it. Gave off very snooty vibes. The only saving grace was the French Sommelier who was very sincere in his service. Dinner took 2hrs for 3-4 dishes. It was a long and awkward wait as the ambience was rather stifling . Won't recommend

I just want to start by saying the service and presentation of the food was excellent. Unfortunately the one thing that stuck in my head after leaving was how tough the duck breast was. Might have been the most overdone I’ve ever had. Unfortunate too cause obviously it wasn’t cheap.

The nicely furnished restaurant is located in a small side street near St. Stephen's Green Park. We visited the restaurant on Saturday evening, where there is no à la carte food, but only a three-course menu for €98 euros. After a small but very tasty amuse-bouche, we enjoyed a different starter. The fried duck liver with Madeira ice cream was delicious. We were also happy with the fried, decoratively prepared scallop. We were just wondering what the Alsatian bacon was doing on this dish. The main course (halibut fillet and duck breast), which was also very clearly arranged, tasted excellent. The portions were definitely far too small for a 3-course menu. We also found it annoying that we had to order and pay for the side dish (we ordered small green beans) separately (+ €8). The beans were also significantly too hard. We complained about this and after a short time received a newly cooked portion of beans, which, however, were only slightly softer. We were told that this was the way green beans were prepared at this restaurant. We have had better experiences with green beans in very good restaurants in Dublin. For dessert, the passion fruit & yuzu soufflé with milk sorbet was... delicious. The again very small "cheese plate" consisted of three different types of very tasty Irish cheese... but there was also an additional charge of €10 for this. Throughout the evening the service was attentive and friendly, but very slow. Overall, the ambience of the restaurant and the quality and presentation of the food were convincing. The portions were too small. The price/performance ratio is unfortunately rather unfavorable for Dublin standards.

Amazing place, deserves a Michelin Star! Such an amazing place, can't believe it's our first time there. The dishes are all very tasty, the description of each dish by the staff is superb and the atmosphere is really really nice. The only thing I would maybe change is the menu size, it's probably a little too small for most people and although we really enjoyed our food, we could have been even more happy with another dish or an extra side. That is not changing our very positive recommendation but something to take into account when going to this place.

l'Gueuleton

07/11/2024: French Irish place with the best of both worlds Imagine French cuisine but without French service or hautainesse and think Irish cuisine but with a bit more French ingredients and subtleties and youngster l’Geuleton We went for brunch on a Saturday and were surprised it wasn’t more packed, all the dishes were great same for drinks and atmosphere Again imagine an Irish pub with Irish waiters except it serves food from the French coast except the size portions are Irish again
30/10/2024: We were a party of seven. Server was friendly and very attentive. Food was excellent and cocktails delicious. We are already planning a trip back together over Christmas break.

Chez Max

14/11/2024: During the Summer, we had a wonderful experience in my favourite French style Bistro, Chez Max. We were impressed with everything from start to finish. On arrival, we were warmly greeted by friendly staff and service was prompt and efficient. The dining area is both cosy and inviting and the food is superb. I thoroughly enjoyed French onion soup, Rib Eye steak and Creme Brulee but there is a dish for every taste. Attention is paid to even the smallest of details and we left both satisfied and content. We will most definitely return again very soon.
12/11/2024: Such an amazing experience and food at Chez Mix. Beautiful atmosphere.
