O'Neills Victorian Pub in Dublin

We tried this pub because we were staying in the B&B upstairs. The rooms were decent, perhaps a little cold, but overall good value. On a positive note: the location. Super central and very close to Trinity College. However, the pub disappointed us. Even though the kitchen closed at 9:30 PM, at 9 PM we were told the kitchen was closing and to hurry up and order. The staff weren't particularly friendly. The food wasn't anything special: we ordered beef stew and it was a kind of minestrone soup, runny and full of vegetables. There are definitely better pubs out there!

In my experience, this restaurant is one of the best in Dublin for typical Irish food, and at a comparatively reasonable price. The quality of the dishes was outstanding. I went there two days in a row and was completely satisfied each time. The service is incredibly friendly and fast. And the beer, of course, is also very good. If it hadn't been closed the following Sunday, I would have gone a third time. The atmosphere and decor are simply wonderful and inviting, perfect for lingering, eating, and drinking. If I visit Dublin again, I will definitely go there again. Plus, it's located right next to Trinity College and not far from Temple Bar.

My friends and I came here for a drink---the seats were comfortable, it was easy to get water, and the bread my friend ordered tasted great. I'd absolutely come again! We were here on a Saturday afternoon and left just as it turned to evening and since it's just a short walk away from the densest area of city center, it was still peaceful! It's great if you're looking to go to a pub where you can actually hear what your friends are saying!

Great pint of Guinness, some nice little snug style booths for conversation, good Chowder also!

Not a completely positive experience, due to the fact that it was very cold inside and eating lunch in a jacket isn't very comfortable. The service was quick and the food was good; the style of the place wasn't very "typical" because it was rather bare (of all the pubs I've been to in Dublin, it's the least typical).

Great place to eat/drink and watch the rugby the truffle fries and tempura prawns, delish, the New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc the nicest we have had in a long time, the staff so friendly and service A++++ looking forward to our next visit! Thanks to all in O Neil’s

A lovely lively Victorian pub with very welcoming staff and very taste food. This pub has great history which the staff are very knowledgeable about and with Michael Collins staying in one of their lovely room that they have available to book if you fancy a stay at this great pub it’s in a great location walking distance to all the great amenities in Dublin City!!

Impeccable service from all the staff, especially Gabriel, who was very welcoming and polite. The place is cozy, and the food and drinks are good. The potato with chipotle and parmesan was surprisingly delicious, and the lasagna has an original flavor. We drank Aperol Spritz, Guinness, and Birra Moretti, all at the ideal temperature. We will definitely return and recommend it.

We arrived on a special day for the place as there was a game and it was full, but we managed to get a table to enjoy the Pub to the fullest. Thank you and thanks to the management.
