Oscar Restaurant in Newbridge

On our search for an Italian restaurant in Newbridge, we came across Oscar House. From the outside, the pizza oven immediately drew my attention to the restaurant. I was convinced that a very good pizza must come out of such an oven. We were alone in the restaurant and it seemed like the place mainly delivered food. The ambience was fine. Not particularly beautiful, not particularly ugly. We noticed that it was quite cold and we were freezing throughout our stay. The heater next to us was cold. The appetizer we wanted to order was not in stock. We ordered two Diablo pizzas (12 inch, approx. 30.5cm) for €16 each. The pizzas came after about 15-20 minutes. According to the menu, the pizza should be topped with “fresh mozzarella”. What I associate with this is that a ball of mozzarella has been cut into pieces and is used to top the pizza. However, the cheese was most likely normal scattered cheese. The pizza was quite greasy and the base in the middle of the pizza was wet. The taste wasn't bad. It tasted mainly like fat, but was pleasantly spicy. We expected more. The edge of the pizza was worth highlighting positively. It was airy and delicious. Personally, I wouldn't come back again.

The Pizza was beautiful the Pasta was perfect and the Wings were bang on!! A truly authentic Italian taste. 5 stars

Some friends of mine and I had dinner there for a casual night at the weekend, the place was alone, we ordered our food and it took a bit longer to have our dinner than I expected, the service was really kind from the waitress and the chef, the food was tasty, I don't too much to highlight about the restaurant I could recommend it if you would like to have a quiet dinner with your friends and or family, the location it's good, don't have parking
