O'Sheas Merchant in Dublin

We have been there for traditional irish food. The Fish&Ships (Smoked Haddock) was the best I could find in Dublin. Irish Stew was not looking good, but my friends said it was taste. Nice Service.

A classic Irish restaurant and bar where you can enjoy everything from a good breakfast to sitting down with a beer in the evening. Very good food and pleasant service.

The most delicious rib eye I’ve had so far in Ireland. The roast beef was also decent. Great live music. Classic Irish Pub experience.

Delicious food, very attentive service and time to get the dishes out very quickly. The music group that provided the venue did great. It has been a great experience

We had a quick supper here before a gig in Vicar Street. It was my first visit. I had no particular expectations but my steak sandwich was really nice. My husband had fish and chips. The meat was really well seasoned and not overcooked. The chips were slightly undercooked but edible. The staff were friendly. The other tables were full of visiting tourists who seemed to be enjoying themselves. The toilets could do with some tarting up, traditional pub toilets aren't pleasant in this day and age.

The food was decent but the service was horrible. We were sat down and never checked on after receiving our meal. Would have loved another pint and my wife was interested in the desert menu. After 20 minutes or so we decided just to approach the bar to pay our tab as still no one had come by our table. We were told they would bring it to the table. Now another 20 minutes and we have not received our bill. We will not be returning for the breakfast menu as previously planned.

Restaurant was understaffed which meant they didn't have time to clean, I found myself constantly stepping on food. I had the irish stew, lamb was great especially since I'm not a huge fan, potatoes were cut unevenly leaving half undercooked and reduction was flavorless took heavy peppering to have any kind of taste. Of the 2 servers we had the slower one, I watched tables come in 20 minutes after us sit and place an order and get drinks before we got menus, also took forever to get check it's like being kidnapped when they won't let you carry on with your day 😂 Live music was in the bar area 👍

We discovered it by chance but blessed discovery! The delicious pints and the live music are 10.
