If you’re intoseafood, Out of the Blue in Dingle is a must-visit. It’s got that perfect mix of casual charm and high-quality food. Everything is fresh and depends on what’s available that day. We went all in on the seafood and weren’t disappointed. The scallops were cooked beautifully, tender and full of flavor, and the grilled oysters with spicy tomato sauce were a highlight.. The seabass and halibut were both excellent, cooked just right with rich, buttery sauces. Drinks-wise, we had a couple of bottles of Riesling, which paired well with everything. Desserts were simple but hit the spot after all the seafood. Service was friendly and efficien. The atmosphere is relaxed but has that nice touch of something special. The bill came to €300, which is on the pricier side, but for seafood this fresh and well-prepared, it felt worth it. Overall, if you’re in Dingle and love seafood, Out of the Blue is well worth a visit. Just be ready to spend a bit, and definitely book in advance!

We dined here one of our nights in Dingle, having made reservations weeks prior. They fill up quickly and almost everyday they posted a sign outside saying there was no availability. They obviously specialize in seafood and the menu changes daily. They present the daily menu on a handwritten chalkboard, cool, but it gets propped up on a chair and kind of annoying for the table next to you while you decide ha. We had the haddock in a potato crust with cream and chives and chargrilled sea bass. All main entrees come with potatoes and vegetables and both were excellent. The restaurant is small and tables are rather close together but it is part of its unique charm. There was a sudden power outage as we finished our meal and had dessert by candlelight, a nice and unexpected way to end a delicious meal.

Beautiful food, fish all the way and how it should be. The fish selection was very good as was the wine. A bit pricey, but so are other restaurants who fail to deliver..... Out of the Blue delivered and we would highly recommend a visit.

The plate of food was great! It really felt like the fish had been pulled from the sea, paired with the rest of the plate and put in front of me. The terrible vegetable and potato side that automatically came with it actually detracted from the meal: the potatoes were poor (in Ireland, of all places) and the sauce on the broccoli clashed with my plate. Also, the olives came with a strong sauce that also detracted from the main event. So close, but ultimately a miss. (The waiting staff were absolutely awesome!)

Amazing experience at “Out of the Blue” restaurant. The staff are simply lovely and extremely welcoming. What can we say about the food, which is fresh, delicious and atypical! Explosions of flavors and colors on your plates with typically local products. If you are passing through the magnificent Dingle Peninsula, I can only recommend this restaurant!

This is very good food, I could not fault anything about the evening there if all restaurants were brave enough to have its simple focus of cooking good food. This is a must visit for the full three courses

29/03/2025: Excellent small plates and exemplary service! Highly recommend as they grow most vegetables themselves with local honey and eggs.
