Out of the Blue in An daingean

We ate her this evening having been lucky enough to secure a reservation at short notice. Everything about this dinner was wonderful. Warm smoked mackeral starter, black sole and halibut main, pear, chocolate and almond tart. Just beautifully cooked, perfectly seasoned, totally fresh dishes. The service was brilliant. The wine delicious. Do yourself a favor. Book early and go. You will not be disappointed.

We ate lobster, which cost €52 for 500g. Unfortunately, the claws of two of the lobsters were not fully chewed. After complaining, they were reheated and served to us with two scallops.

The John Dory was the best fish of my entire life. Ate there in June 2026 and coming back in September 2026 to write this review because I’m still thinking about how delicious the fish was. Unbelievably fresh, tender, and rich. 11/10!!!

Amazing (all-seafood) dinner and very kind service, but you should book a table in advance.

This might be THE best meal on a 30 day trip. Fantastic.

Everything was amazing! The oysters were sourced near by and you could taste the freshness. Our main dishes were delicious, lots of veggies and beautifully cooked fish. Staff were super friendly and nice.

We had a delicious dinner at Out of the Blue. The mussels appetizer was very tasty and fresh as were our main dishes. Highly recommend dining here but be sure to make a reservation well in advance if you can

Pros: Great selection of fresh fish. Good wine list. My friend enjoyed his hake. Attentive and friendly service (as is usual in Dingle). Cons: Expensive. My John Dory fish was a tad overcooked and very over salted. Shame.
