Great, typically Irish pub with friendly people. Good live music. Next door is Lizzie's Restaurant, where you can also get good food. Definitely worth a visit.

Visited today 16/9/25, Keith the bartender was amazing to talk to. Tunes were pumping with a great atmosphere. We highly recommend the seafood chowder.

I'm giving it 5 stars because we really ate very well. I asked the waitress for a typical dish and I wasn't disappointed. The service is very good and the prices are always very reasonable in pubs.

We visited this spot yesterday to grab some food with the kids and I can tell you it was a great choice for sure. Staff very friendly and professional, the place itself is nice and lively. You have to try the seafood chowder !!!!! Best I had in many many years. The fish and chips was very nice, fresh and tasty. I would give this place a 5 star ratting but not much seafood dishes on offer ( no mussels, squid etc). All in all we had a great time here. I have to say it again: the staff are a credit to this place.

Charming pub, great value for money and awesome trad music. Everything we weren't able to get due to the larger crowds in Galway! Dunfanaghy is a great little find.

I was recently in Dunfanaghy for two nights and after 8 days in Donegal, I had my best meal of the entire trip in this bar! It was totally unexpected, because I'll be honest, when I walked in, it wasn't the vibe I wanted. There's several TVs and the music was quite loud, so it very much has the atmosphere of a sports bar. Nevertheless, I parked myself at the bar and ordered dinner and OMG. I had the seabass and it was literally the best meal I have had in a LONG time. I mean, it was so good that I am still thinking about over a week later and felt the need to write a review! While it is sort of loud and one of the bartenders wasn't particularly friendly, I would go back in a second to try more of their food. Highly recommend!

Best bar in the whole town, nicest Guinness, and the best looking bar woman Annette works here. Enjoy!
