Palace Bar in Dublin

Have been here many times and I have never been disappointed. Brought friends from Munster on a tour of the real pubs of Dublin, The Palace Bar will forever be in the top 3. Great pint, great service, great atmosphere

I have been to Dublin many times. It's generally a warm, welcoming place. During this last visit, I noticed a shift. Bar staff doesn't want to engage or answer questions about the history of the establishment or even smile at customers. There just isn't the feel there used to be. The Palace Bar is one of the few places this was not true. The bartenders were warm and the bar itself is absolutely beautiful. The clientele was relaxed and happy. It retains its good feel.

The Palace Bar is a pub steeped in history and tradition. The furniture and decor maintain a classic style that makes you feel like you're part of the city. It's very noisy, but in the best way: lively, full of conversations about sports and politics among friends. The most picturesque feature is the groups of older men who have clearly been coming for decades, giving it an authentic and unique atmosphere. We ordered a pint of Guinness for €7.20, and it was the perfect excuse to soak up the ambiance. A place that captures the spirit of old Dublin. Greetings to the staff and owner from Argentina.

This is the best bar in Dublin in my opinion. Good atmosphere abiet a little loud at times. Reasonable drink prices compared to some of the rip off merchants in the area. Great efficient and friendly staff. Highly recommend a visit.

Popped in for a pint. Polite and friendly staff. Nice cozy atmosphere for someone who was travelling solo.

Great place for a pint. Or two.

We saw the notice saying live trad music on a Sunday night abs since it was Sunday we went up. The guinness was great, the irish coffee too. But the music was fabulous. As the evening went on musicians kept arriving. The music was good traditional music not fake tourist come-all-ye's.

This is a main stay bar that I enjoy every time I am in Dublin for years. The seats at the bar on the ground floor are timeless. If the ground floor is busy try going up the steps as there is a small bar up there as well. But if you are looking for one of the best pints in the city look no further
