It's been a long while (years)since I've stumbled upon this traditional Irish pub. The atmosphere was quite, as it was not busy... everything I would have imagined. what was very cool was the mirror partitions that separated the bar stools & just sitting between them taking in the history with a pint.. The bartender that served me is still in some of the current photo's I see on line, so judging from that I'm guessing the palace bar is very while grounded with tradition. I wouldn't miss this place if I were you.

This is a main stay bar that I enjoy every time I am in Dublin for years. The seats at the bar on the ground floor are timeless. If the ground floor is busy try going up the steps as there is a small bar up there as well. But if you are looking for one of the best pints in the city look no further

Sit outside and the people watching is unbeatable. Saw some incredible shit in 30 minutes. Nice man took my photo. Bartender needs a gin and tonic and a hand job to cheer up.

Dropped in for a pint after dinner. This is a traditional Irish pub with a very relaxed atmosphere and a wide age range in the clientele.

04/07/2025: I saw the summer special for fish and chips and a glass of cava for €26 and decided to try it. The service from when we got there was great. We placed our order and the food was out in under 10 minutes. 2 cods were on the plate but I’d say the star of the dish was the tartar sauce never had anything like it and the fish was super crispy. 10/10 would recommend and the cava pairing worked really well!
23/06/2025: Came in on Friday with a small dog and the team were so accommodating! Delicious wine and fantastic staff

22/06/2025: What a hidden gem this is. Nestled, unassuming, slightly off the beaten track in the heart of Dublin we enjoyed one of the best late lunches we’ve ever had. We were instantly made to feel at home by the staff who were all friendly, bright, breezy and efficient. The menu isn’t extensive but it doesn’t need to be. It shows a confidence in the quality of food on offer, and it has every reason to. The dishes were well presented, packed with flavour and piping hot when they needed to be. The fish pie a particular highlight. The bill? €115.00. 4 fantastic dishes, a bottle of wine and bottled water. A steal….im tempted to fly to Dublin again just to revisit The Vintage Kitchen!
