There’s a free art tour given at 5pm which was incredible - Jonathan’s knowledge was very impressive and just an all round great bloke. Would’ve given a hefty tip if we had any cash! Followed by a few of the best cocktails I’ve ever had in my life - the 1958. Tastes like a spicy marg, looks like a martini. Stunning hotel and the staff were all class, we’d definitely come to stay next time.

The building is beautiful and the rooms were classic but with modern amenities. It was wonderful to be an easy walk into the town of Kenmare. I wish I had more time to browse the art collection and explore the grounds.

A charming and beautiful hotel set in lovely gardens, yet right in the heart of Kenmare. The service is outstanding, and the hotel has a unique Belle Époque atmosphere that really adds to the experience. Both the afternoon tea and breakfast were exceptional and truly memorable. I visited on business trip and only stayed one night and wished I had more time to enjoy the spa and pool. May go back with my other half for a romantic weekend getaway.

Park Hotel Kenmare is a luxury 5-star historic hotel located in the town of Kenmare in County Kerry, Ireland.
Set in a 19th-century building overlooking Kenmare Bay, it is known for its elegant old-world atmosphere combined with modern comfort. The hotel features spacious rooms, fine dining, a spa, and landscaped gardens.

My husband and I stopped in after we met a local gentleman who recommended we have a drink here. Oh my goodness was that some good advice!!! We had the loveliest time. The bartender made us the best cocktails we have had while in Ireland!!!! I mean, top notch! The drinks were so good, we decided to dine and it was probably one of the most delicious meals we have ever had. And THE most delicious sweet - the Buttermilk Tart. All of this was enjoyed whilst being serenaded by lovely live piano music. If you are in Kenmare, please visit! What a lovely experience. And to our bartender, Jude , cheers! The drinks were grand!!

I cannot express the level of excellence that is on display at this hotel. Brilliant food, handmade cocktails to die for, and a buttermilk tart that will have you questioning your previous life choices. Don’t walk, run.

I am a little torn writing this review as there were many great things about our stay at Park Hotel Kenmare, but ultimately perhaps it did not live up to the 5 star hotel billing.
The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, the hotel and grounds lovely and the food was excellent. But I think attention to detail is lacking and that is everything when you book a 5 star.
The room balcony was right on top of a construction site due to the spa being renovated which completely took away any desire to be out there. The wallpaper on entry to the room is badly stained which is the first thing you see on entering the room. The shower was trickling out, although this was fixed on the second day of our stay. The toilet was also dripping very loudly so we had to put a cloth in the sistern.
We went to the pool on our 2nd morning only to find the sauna had not been turned on and would take 1 hour to warm up. This was extremely disappointing as its one of the reasons we booked this hotel. The breakfast was interesting: The food itself - Beautiful! But a strange atmosphere due to lack of music and waiters seeming stressed due to being under staffed perhaps. It is sit down service for everything so they ask you what you want from the whole menu at the start which puts you under pressure immediately to decide on all options. The toast doesn't come with the fry up..then the croissants choices come out while you are eating your breakfast, at which point its difficult to make that decision.
Mini problems in the grand scheme of things - But if you are going to pay the big bucks for a 5 star hotel experience, they should be getting all of these "smaller" details right in my opinion.
