Just checked out after an amazing 3 night stay at the Park Hotel, Kenmare. We stayed in room 303 which was huge and absolutely beautiful, the bathroom was incredible. The spa facilities are great, one of the best massages I’ve ever received. The service was fantastic, all of the staff were so welcoming and helpful. Beautiful food in the restaurant. My favourite part of the stay had to be the bar/lounge area with the live piano and Dylan’s cocktails.. we returned there all 3 nights because of the beautiful ambience and the cocktails were second to none. 100% recommend for a relaxing getaway

Room was small. Reserved a king sized bed, got a queen or double. No air conditioning. Amazing views, charming grounds and very good service.

A beautiful classic hotel in the true sense of the word. Very personal , attentive and superb service by friendly staff. Peaceful secluded well manicured gardens. An Edwardian time capsule - as close to Downton Abbey as most of us will ever get.

26/03/2024: Cosy, small breakfast place. Friendly, fast service at a busy place. Delicious pancakes, really good full Irish, lots of variety in the vegetarian full breakfast. We'll go back tomorrow.

McCarthys Par at Kenmare Golf Club

14/10/2023: Not especially difficult course, some uphills on the early holes, one dog-leg and a fair bit of forest. Tricky uphill 220 yard par 3 with raised green. Very pleasant place to play. What makes it special is the attitude of the course staff and local players. Greens are cleared of dew before the first starters, locals give advice on the course. After we finished we went to go into the bar straight off the course, but we’re stopped. Very disappointed it was another stuffy golf club (Ballybunion!) where you had to change to get a drink. But no, just take the spikes off and come on in your socks. Lovely!
13/09/2023: Lovely course and reasonably priced for visitors. Walkers beware it is very hilly in spots!
