Beautiful place to have a nice meal. Everything was good, especially the croquettes that we had for starters. We went for the sunday roast and it was good, a bit overpriced for the portion, in my opinion. Other than that, really good, will be back again soon.

We stumbled across this character restaurant while on a daytrip to Kilkenny.Situated down a little corridor and was instantly welcomed both by the staff and the atmosphere of the quaint building. We opted for the wonderful handmade cinnamon buns which were so lovely in taste and texture with the most tasty frosting. All washed down with a couple of pots of tea. Nicely decorated with lovely earthenware. It was a nice experience before we headed for more exploring of the beautiful historic town.

Petronella is a real surprise... The place is truly wonderful... The food no less... Don't be scared by the prices.. €26 a dish, but I assure you that I struggled to finish it... the soup and stew of the day look like my grandmother's... aporteonic... Super recommended...

Absolutely fantastic experience at Petronella! The food was incredible, the staff were beyond excellent, and the atmosphere was perfect. I didn’t have cash on me, and they don’t accept tips on the bill, so I’ll be back soon with a double tip because the staff deserve it for the excellent service. Highly recommend.

Arrived 6.20pm for my birthday dinner but was reminded three times that the table was to be handed back at 7.30 , lack of front of house service felt very rushed. Food was very good though on the plus side
