Pichet in Dublin

Not sure why this place has great reviews. The gambas were decent but improperly cleaned, the lamb had a good sauce and flavor but was quite tough and chewy, the wine was dull and uninspired, the service and production of the food was quite slow and disparate in terms of timing. The price was on the high end of what I’ve come to know as quite good food in Dublin, so I’m a bit disappointed with the overall experience.

Extraordinary food! Duck breast tasted fabulous with the souse and the duck fat was super crispy! And I like the playlist:)

One of the best meals of my life

Dined alone and was seated immediately for a late lunch, service was attentive at first and I had probably the best Manhattan I've this year from their bar. I started with the mussels with leeks and sausage and white wine and it was incredible. I then waited thirty minutes (only three other tables had diners) for my next course, and when it arrived I could only eat a small fraction of the meat because there was so much unrendered fat and gristle that it was borderline inedible. I pointed this out to my server, who got a manager and she apologized profusely. She was lovely and brought a free glass of Limoncello and comped the pork dish in question. She said it was a new dish and that they were still working on it - that one clearly needed some more time before being introduced to the public. (I just looked and that dish no longer appears to be on the lunch menu, and my meal was three days ago.) I'll be back, and will adjust rating accordingly.

Top drawer restaurant, very high quality.

An average experience and the food was a little mixed. We have great entrees and fast out, but then had to wait 45-50 mins for our mains. The mains were a bit confused with too many elements. It was like they had forgotten our meals as the kitchen was in clean up mode whilst we were still waiting. For a bib gourmand it was a little disappointing overall.

Very lively place, good service. Would give 4.5/5 if i could. Both mains(Lamb & Pasta) excellent. The side of roasted cauliflower was also excellent, this is only a tiny bad point and it was the side of chips! Given how all the other dishes were just brilliant i dont know how you can get chips wrong but they did. Think I got the dregs of the last pieces of chips from the fryer. Not the best. But as I said before, this is a tiny negative to an otherwise great meal. Both desserts were great, Creme Anglaise and the Peach dish. Spot on!

They were very welcoming., despite being very busy on a Sat night. They took in 3 of us without any problems. Had to wait a little longer but considering they were packed.,it was worth the wait. So food was so good.

Qué increíble cena tuvimos. Todo estaba delicioso. Teníamos las vieiras asadas, caballa antorchada curada Teriyaki, paleta de cordero especiado Harissa, halibut asado en caldo Dashi, coliflor asada, ensalada de zanahorias arcoíris especiadas. Absolutamente delicioso, súper sabroso y la combinación de ingredientes en cada plato fueron originales e interesantes. Uno de nuestros servidores Nico fue genial, conversación increíble y fue muy agradable ver el amor que tiene por la industria de restaurantes. Gente como él es lo que se necesita en la hospitalidad! Definitivamente volvería.
