Perfect! Nothing was Standard! All was 110%!!!

I phoned at short notice as I was working in Dublin and to my delight I got a table the same evening. Service is very friendly and helpful. I'd heard great things, so I asked the waiter to recommend the best starter and mains, and I just went with that. To start, I had the Chowk Ki Aloo Tikki. The potato cake was delicious. A little crispy on the outside and a fragrant, delicately spiced potato cake. It was served with 3 types of chutneys, and the overwhelming taste was sweet - a little too sweet for me as it overpowered the delicate potato cake. For mains, I had butter chicken with basmati rice . The curry is the best I've ever eaten. Perfectly cooked chicken in a rich spiced tomato masala with a little cream. One negative is that the basmati rice is €5.25 for a single portion. It's outrageous when you're paying €26.50 for a portion of curry. It is a very good restaurant experience, but there are better value options in the area of similar quality. 1 x starter, 1 x mains and 1 x bottle of water, and 1 x beer came to €58.50.

The food was ok but I was expecting something better. We didn't get the customary popadoms until after the mains and they were kind of like one of those mixed bag of crisp snacks from Tesco finest. Service was fine, wait staff were prompt and friendly. The toilets were not great though. After hearing how amazing this place is I expected more.

On a visit to Dublin I tried this restaurant based on the positive TA reviews. It is excellent ! Specialises in North Indian cuisine. The curry dish was outstanding and the butter naan light and slightly crispy (unlike the doughy naans served in many other ‘Indian Restaurants’ Strongly recommend
