Small restaurant near the sea. The place is clean, with a few tables close together. Friendly staff. Long wait for fairly simple dishes. The food is good but not excellent, the price is excessively high. It can be pleasant for a family lunch on the weekend, nothing more

great seafood at a scenic location

Very good menu. Primarily a fish food restaurant. Vegetarian option of lentil and spinach curry with rice. Pub at front served a wide selection of ales and beer on tap, Guinness available. Upstairs seating has very good views of Kinvara bay - Not wheelchair accessible.

Nicely located on the pier, the coffee was ok, as was the service.

Lovely pub in a gorgeous setting by the pier. We had the trio of seafood with a trio of sauces. The food was cooked to perfection. The service was great. Would definitely recommend.

the tastiest fish soup (chowder) i had in my life. i ordered mussels with it and got a basket of bread and butter. everything was tasty and the view of the ocean was breathtaking. i will definitely come back and it was worth a detour

Nice spot. Great service. Appetizers were wonderful (seafood chowder & goat cheese, tomato toast). Unfortunately, the main courses fell flat. The steak was overcooked and a bit flavorless. Rack of lamb was overcooked though did have a nice flavor and luckily I didn’t pour the gravy over it because it wasn’t very nice. The chicken was interesting. It had ham and cheese rolled up in it and fried. Flavor was just ok. If we had just eaten appetizers, I believe I’d have given it 5 stars and been 100% satisfied. It could simply be that seafood is where they shine, since it is a mostly seafood restaurant (by the sea), and we ordered non-seafood for our main. The price wasn’t cheap (at $30+/meal) for the quality received though not unreasonable.

Nice place, family and big group friendly. It's a decent restaurant. Nothing bad, but nothing extraordinary as well.

Skip Galway and Come to the Pier head for dinner and dessert. Have been in Dublin and Galway for 10 days and this was the best dinner so far by far. Flavors were fresh and don't miss out on the excellent dessert and Irish/Baileys coffee. Beautiful location on the pier and overlooking the bay and castle in the distance.

Stumbled upon this terrific spot for lunch with a great view - right on the water. Free parking - great atmosphere. A happy find.
