Pier Head in Kinvara

Nice location, good food and great staff. Would highly recommend for lunch. Mussels are incredible. Fresh fish and Irish lamb very good as well.

This is a lovely restaurant with fabulous sea views. We were glad that we had booked, it was packed on a Saturday night. It very much has a nautical theme with lots of bits and bobs strewn around the place. We were seated in the larger of the downstairs rooms in a fabulous window table. We shared mussels to start, a very generous portion, we both had the sea bass fillets for our mains served with a delectable white wine sauce, we chose jacket potato and salad as our accompaniments, it was so good, the fish perfectly cooked and again a generous portion. Whilst we absolutely didn’t need it, we shared the most delicious pavlova, a huge portion. There’s one thing for sure you won’t leave the Pier Head hungry. Great location, food, service and a very reasonable bill. What’s not to like? Highly recommended.

Small restaurant near the sea. The place is clean, with a few tables close together. Friendly staff. Long wait for fairly simple dishes. The food is good but not excellent, the price is excessively high. It can be pleasant for a family lunch on the weekend, nothing more

great seafood at a scenic location

Very good menu. Primarily a fish food restaurant. Vegetarian option of lentil and spinach curry with rice. Pub at front served a wide selection of ales and beer on tap, Guinness available. Upstairs seating has very good views of Kinvara bay - Not wheelchair accessible.

Nicely located on the pier, the coffee was ok, as was the service.

Lovely pub in a gorgeous setting by the pier. We had the trio of seafood with a trio of sauces. The food was cooked to perfection. The service was great. Would definitely recommend.
