The Old Ground is one of Ennis' oldest hotels. Friendly staff, good food. Can get busy in the early evening. They don't take bookings in the bar.

Great late lunch at Poet's Corner today. No reservation and a table for 10 sorted very swiftly. Lovely staff and great food. The Vol-au-Vent is a great value substantial special... Well done Old Ground's Poet's Corner..

Tasty food and plenty of it, well presented and cooked perfectly. Service was prompt, professional and friendly. Good value, three adults with main course and desert, tea and coffee for about €90. One small gripe, tables are close together and moving between them can be a tight squeeze
