Great late lunch at Poet's Corner today. No reservation and a table for 10 sorted very swiftly. Lovely staff and great food. The Vol-au-Vent is a great value substantial special... Well done Old Ground's Poet's Corner..

Tasty food and plenty of it, well presented and cooked perfectly. Service was prompt, professional and friendly. Good value, three adults with main course and desert, tea and coffee for about €90. One small gripe, tables are close together and moving between them can be a tight squeeze

Loved this pub! We didn’t eat but we enjoyed 2 evenings here, listening to music and having drinks. Bartenders were friendly and atmosphere was great!

Temple Gate Hotel

23/11/2024: And I wonder why there wohld have a need to say ahead of time, that the hotel may not be the same standard that we kight be used to. Sitting into the lobby of Temple Gate Hotel, is a step back in time. However, it did not prepare me for my room. The furnishings were reminiscent of the furniture we had in the house, back in the 80s and I think the last time I seen a TV that small, I was playing Atari on it. The breakfast options were lackluster. I don't eat eggs or meat and pkrridge is an acquired taste, that I have not acquired. So I had to make due with untoasted bread and coffee. Please add cheese to the breakfast offerings!!
14/11/2024: Well located, rooms are comfortable and clean. Bar is excellent.
