Poffs in Kenmare

Really the gem in Kenmare. We were allowed to study here, it wasn’t busy in the morning so the service was fast and friendly. The food portions were big enough and delicious. The music and ambience were great. Worth it to stop here for a cup of coffee

Great place! Staff were lovely. Eggs Benedict was as nice as I’ve ever had and pancakes were fantastic too!

I ordered the full Irish with a scrambled egg and was told no, I could only get it poached or fried, not scrambled. The way I see it, if you can fry an egg, you can scramble it. I hate poached and fried eggs, but if I wanted the full Irish I had no choice....so I went with the fried, and my wife ate it. Maybe the owner has a bee in her bonnet about a scrambled egg not being part of a traditional full Irish; who knows. All I know is, during our entire 12 nights in Ireland, Poffs was the only place that refused to serve a scrambled egg. I don't get it....seems silly. The rest of my food was fine, and my wife enjoyed hers, too. Shame that something so simple as a scrambled egg will cause us to not return.

Food was fabulous but expensive, €19.30 for breakfast albeit with a 2nd cup of coffee, more expensive than Dublin

We went into Poffs on a Sunday for a light lunch. I ordered a hot tea & the Homemade Cream of Tomato Soup & the Toasted Special which was a grilled cheese sandwich with salami, cheese, pistachios & tomatoes. My friend ordered the soup & an egg salad sandwich. The service was freindly & exceptional! Yummy!

Nice food but service was very slow and not particularly friendly. Saying ‘hi how are ye’ would you make a big difference.

The first real express in Ireland 👏👏👏. Very friendly.

Wonderful cafe. The full Irish was top notch, especially the black and white pudding. Will definitely come back.
