Poppy Fields Cafe in Athlone

What a lovely place to eat great food excellent staff and a nice atmosphere

My favourite place in Athlone to get lunch. Staff are always so polite, friendly, not pushy but very attentive.

Great food, lovely desserts and some of the friendliest staff in town!

Spent a week in Ireland recently on a lightning visit and this was undoubtedly the best breakfast of the trip. Very welcoming place with great food and reasonable prices. Please open a branch cafe on Vancouver Island.

I had a really delicious breakfast of French toast with bacon, real Maple syrup and two fruits. It was so light and freshly cooked, beautifully presented and so tasty. I felt very satisfied together with a flat white I was set up for the day. Congrats on keeping your standards high. Geraldine it’s lovely when you are there but your staff are also efficient and friendly. Poppyfields is a gem to have in Athlone. I would recommend breakfast here for sure.

My first visit to Poppy Firlds Cafe and it won't be my last. When we entered the cafe it was very busy but a great atmosphere. We were quickly shown to a table. The staff were so friendly with top class service. We thoroughly enjoyed our food, and we would highly recommend 👌

Was a bit better few months ago but still a nice experience. We were left waiting twice had to ask for service but other than that all was good.
