As soon as you enter the restaurant, you are greeted by an extremely beautiful and inviting atmosphere that has been designed with great attention to detail. The atmosphere is relaxed yet upscale – the perfect place for an enjoyable dinner. The service is another highlight of the restaurant. The staff are not only friendly, but also extremely attentive without being intrusive. There is a relaxed, pleasant atmosphere that further enriches the visit. Now to the most important thing: the food. Simply outstanding! The meat was perfectly prepared – cooked to perfection and of the highest quality. The side dishes were also excellent, perfectly cooked and went well with the main course. Every bite was a delight and it's obvious that a lot of dedication and expertise goes into cooking here. If you're in Athlone and don't dine at The Fatted Calf, you're definitely missing out. The combination of excellent food, a pleasant ambience and first-class service makes this restaurant a clear recommendation. A visit is a must for anyone who is in the area and appreciates good food!
