PORTERHOUSE in Oranmore

Without doubt the best place to eat and drink in Oranmore. Fantastic staff, excellent food and it's also great value for money. Highly recommended 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

We visited this restaurant while staying in Galway. It’s a 15 minute walk from the Maldron Hotel. It was extremely busy however staff still accommodated us. The food was fantastic chicken wings are beautiful steak was delicious staff were very friendly lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended if visiting.

A top restaurant with a cozy atmosphere

Typical pub atmosphere so it was fine. My only pet peeve is that through no fault of the restaurant, they can't give you something but a fully cooked burger so as a rare fan I felt like I was eating a hockey puck. to give you anything other than full for health reasons. Maybe while you’re in Ireland skip the hamburger unless you like it well done I prefer to hear the moo while I’m eating it

I was asked to review a lunch special for Porterhouse. Peppercorn sauce: 5/5 Chips: 5/5 Onion/mushroom mix: 3.5/5 Not enough mushroom, too much onion. Steak: 2.5/5: It was too cooked in some areas and not cooked enough in others. I ordered medium rare and, well, I suppose it ranged between very medium and very rare. Given the high price, I can say that this isn't an ideal lunch spot on the daily, but it may be more justifiable for dinner or for treating a colleague out for lunch.

Excellent chicken Kiev and delicious fish croquettes. Good traditional cuisine. We met a very kind and polite Italian waiter who helped us choose our dishes. Good beers.

Super food and brilliant staff, very friendly and efficient. Great atmosphere in the pub, lovely place to visit.

Mi marido, dos hijas adolescentes y yo fuimos a cenar aquí el 30 de marzo. Era un domingo Habíamos reservado una mesa. Teníamos una mesa en la parte trasera del restaurante. Estaba ocupado, nos sirvieron rápidamente. Había un buen ambiente. Teníamos pavo y jamón. Pollo Curry y 2 hamburguesas, no teníamos entrantes. La comida era preciosa, y las porciones eran generosas, el personal era muy atento y servicial. Nuestra hija ha tenido desiertos, tomamos cafés. Las mesas estaban más despejadas rápidamente. Sentimos que el precio representaba la calidad y el servicio. Sin duda volveremos de nuevo.
