Purple Onion in Termonbarry

I reviewed here 3 yrs ago.Its still top class.The food is lovely and if it was Dublin it'd be packed every night.The young girl at the counter is really friendly and pleasant….I think I heard her say shes local.

Really lovely place to eat, very good menu and nice atmosphere. Really knowledgeable manager - and there’s an excellent selection of wine too!

This restaurant serves top notch food in a cosy setting. Small but creative menu with local produce taking centre stage (No conveyer -belt food served here!!). There's a lovely shop on the premises too so you browse around it and buy goodies to take home...A real foodie heaven. Also there are wonderful pieces of art / photography for sale. Well worth a visit.

PET FRIENDLY!! Excellent fish and chips with sea bass. Very friendly service and homely environment. Highly recommend 100%

This restaurant is one of our favourite treats. The food is exceptional . I rarely ordr steak out because it can be subjective... was it a good cut, was it tender, was it cooked to your liking ?? Yes .... The duck was amazing also. ..and Paul guides you through a wine selection which is extensive eclectic educational and entertaining. Yup.... I could sit there all evening. A wonderful dining experience.

Stunning food as always - never disappoints! Beautifully unique setting with a wonderful selection of wines, as well as witty chats to accompany the meal! Shop area at the front with a selection of foods, sauces, wines etc. Favourite place for the best steak!
