Ramsbottoms in Portlaoise

Great, lively, classic Irish pub!! We had a cousin reunion here when visiting from the States. Jack and Billy were wonderful accommodating our reservation requests. They even helped coordinate food being brought in for us. We really enjoyed our evening here and will definitely visit again when back in Ireland!

I had my 21st birthday here this week, and the team at Rams was absolutely amazing! They truly made the night so special for us it was truly a night we will never forget. The venue itself is perfect – spacious and family-friendly. I would definitely recommend this venue to everyone!

Love the outdoor space. A gem of a spot! Bright and cheerful- suitable for all weathers. Had a lovely celebration there. We were able to enjoy a BBQ , our own bar and a DJ. Staff were great from the moment l booked. Always at the other end of the phone to help to organise everything. Thanks so much. Will definitely be back!

Just a real traditional Irish pub with a nice relaxed atmosphere and good service, where you can have a peaceful conversation. Both me (Dutch "tourist") and my friend (Irish) liked it here.

We had our Baby’s Christening yesterday and from the day I booked the room the staff where just amazing a big thank you to Ann and Jack who just went above and beyond to make our day so special helping us from start to finish they where so so amazing we will definitely be back ❤️

We had our day two wedding celebrations at Ramsbottoms Pub, and it was absolutely perfect. The back area is a fantastic space for a party—ideal for a relaxed but lively atmosphere. They organised a DJ for us, and we danced the night away well beyond closing, which made it such a memorable continuation of the celebrations. The staff were incredibly hospitable throughout, and a special thank you to Ann, who was so helpful in organising everything and making sure the day ran smoothly. She made the whole process easy and stress-free. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot for our day two.

Had my daughters communion party in Ramsbottoms on Friday afternoon & i highly recommend them.Ann & her team of staff are so nice to deal with they went above & beyond for us.Ann couldn’t do enough for us.Really nice venue.Thanks Ann & staff
