Not sure why it took us almost 5 years to finally try this place.
The food was absolutely exceptional, The ambience is warm, inviting, and somehow feels both cosy and elegant at the same time. The owner was genuinely kind and welcoming.
We’ll definitely be coming back.

I recently visited Rasam with family while on a holiday from Dubai. I had the BEST butter chicken I have ever had in my life. The atmosphere was divine and the service was excellent. Lakshman was our server and his extensive hospitality training was evident. I wholeheartedly recommend Rasam for its warm welcome and commitment to mouthwatering cuisine.

We really enjoyed our evening. The food was absolutely delicious - particularly the starters. We ate from the early bird menu. Waiting staff were attentive and efficient & the venue had a very calm but buzzy atmosphere.

An Unforgettable Culinary Experience!
Rasam is hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Dublin. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and an elegant ambiance that immediately set the tone for a special evening.
The food? Absolutely phenomenal. Every dish we ordered was bursting with authentic Indian flavors, perfectly balanced spices, and beautiful presentation. The lamb rogan josh melted in the mouth, and the prawn curry was rich and aromatic. The naan was soft and fresh out of the tandoor – just perfection.
What really sets Rasam apart is the attention to detail and the passion you can taste in every bite. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely seemed to care that we were having a great time.
Whether you're a connoisseur of Indian cuisine or trying it for the first time, Rasam is a must-visit. It's not just a meal – it’s an experience. We’ll absolutely be back!

I was there with two Indian colleagues. I got mild spicy and it was amazing and delicious. I took the typical indian food tasting option. Everything was great but the mango prawns were really the best.

My husband and I were visiting Dun Laoghaire for his birthday and booked a table at Rasam for our last night there to enjoy some delicious Indian cuisine.
From the moment we walked into this beautiful restaurant, Mr. Lakshmi and his team gave us a friendly, warm welcome. He was very helpful in suggesting dishes and accomodating our taste preferences. Every dish we ordered that evening was unique with fresh ingredients and full of flavor. I loved the palak patta chaat, with its combination of flavors, and the mango prawn were cooked perfectly.
At the end of our meal, the friendly staff brought over a dessert to celebrate my husband's birthday, and a cup of masala Chai tea that Mr. Lakshmi had made for me when I'd mentioned earlier how much I missed it from our trip to India a few years ago. Their attention to detail meant so much and was truly appreciated.
Before we left, we shared with Mr. Nisheeth how much we'd enjoyed the evening, and how we wished there was a restaurant like this where we live in Florida that we could enjoy more often. He surprised us with a visit to their kitchen and introduced us to the chefs and staff. They showed us how they made one of our favorites, the peshawari naan and even gifted us with some of it to take for breakfast the next day.
All of them made our evening so special, and it isn't surprising that this restaurant was awarded "best in all Ireland world cuisine" - so well deserved!

Dinner for 2 on a Wednesday evening. Lovely ambience, excellent staff (our waiter "llakman" not sure of spelling), good wine list, good portions and fine food.
For starters we had, Chatpata Pork and Trio Chicken - both excellent
For mains, my partner had Butter Chicken and I chose the "signature disk" Dum Pukt Gosht (Lamb). We also had a portion of Dal Panchmel, basmati rice (excellent) and Peshawari naan.
The Butter Chicken was very well received, the Gosht was OK but disappointing given it menu title. Our waiter provided a small portion of the other lamb dish (Awadhi Curry) that is on the menu and it was much more to my taste. We had a very enjoyable and reasonably priced bottle of South African Pinotage to accompany the meal.
Overall a excellent and satisfying dinner experience.

Although I’ve no complaints, I’ve given only 3/5 as nothing stood out to me about this restaurant. The staff were lovely, the food was nice, the menu was average and as expected. I had high hopes due to the big ratings here on trip advisor and Michelin guide mention but really was an average Indian dining experience with nothing that blew my mind in particular.
