Red Earth in Mullingar

We regularly visit for breakfast and lunch but last night was our first time to try the evening dining experience. It was, quite simply, OUTSTANDING! The atmosphere was just fabulous, service was beyond compare and the food was “off-the-scale”, gorgeous! The flavours, the presentation and the quality of the food were amazing. I particularly liked that there was lots of space. The tables are not on top of each other and they are not trying to cram customers in like sardines. The staff were fabulous. They were not rushing about. They had time for us and we were never rushed. They had enough time to chat and have a laugh with us. They were knowledgeable about everything on the menu and the could not have been more attentive. Despite such a large premises; it was cosy, inviting and very welcoming. Excellent service and food today. Bit of a blip over a table of five being seated at a table of four which was readily rectified. Best of luck with the evening menu!

As usual, Red earth never misses your heart! To enjoy fresh ingredients and amazing taste, do visit this place. Highly recommended. It gets very busy during the lunch hours so make sure to come on time to get your table and enjoy the wonderful food. P.S. they have beautiful toilets

Excellent venue. Fabulous food, great service and spotless.

I treated myself to the “signature “ breakfast at €15.95. While the service is professional and friendly the food is rather hit and miss for the price charged. The rashers were too salty and not very tasty, the mushrooms and toast were cold, the sausages, puddings, etc were hot and tasty. The worst part, though, was the tea. It reminded me of what used to be served on planes and in hospitals, grey in colour, insipid and generally awful. In a country of tea drinkers when we have lots of great brands available this is unacceptable. Did I complain? No, why? No one came to my table to ask me how my food was and I couldn’t identify a manager. Nice place, niceish food, overpriced for what you get.

We had a lovely lunch here to meet and catch up on a Saturday afternoon. Love the new look. Food was great but the cocktails were fantastic.
