Regan's Gastro Pub and Restaurant in Roscommon

Bar is beautiful. The fire was lovely as it was very cold and wet outside. I ordered bbq chicken wings with a bluecheese dip, and french fries. My son ordered cajun chicken panini. My wings were dried out, and obviously not fresh today. They were served on top of a spoon scrapping OF blue cheese dressing, and drizzled with bbq sauce from a bottle!! The little sise salad was limp. The French fries were OK. My sons chicken was really dry aswell. I asked for more blue cheese as it was supposed to be dip and the waitress brought it then in a little dipping pot. Honestly, I felt that I was just getting left over blue cheese dressing scrapped on a plate- I'm not saying it was but that is what it tasted and looked like. I ate 2 wings and my son ate tge rest along with the chips/ french fries. The reason I scored a 3 star was based on friendly staff and lovely bar atmosphere. But food I'd only give 1 star. I would not serve that food at my own table, so I expected more.

Good food. Great atmosphere. Have visited several times. Highly recommended. The bar manager is a lovely man - friendly and welcoming.

Friendly, accommodating. We had 8 adults in our party. We were sat quickly and the table was spacious. Our cocktails were wonderful and food was hot and fresh. I hadn’t ribs and they were tender and saucy. A glass of wine and Baileys cheesecake with ice cream for dessert topped off our night. But the service was exceptional and what I remember the most. Thank you for a great dinner!!

Unfortunately too expensive for what you get, including the size of a portion. Polite staff. Chocolate brownie was nice.

On a cold February afternoon Regans was a warm, comforting place. The muted lighting, the warm stove, the friendly, professional staff, the decor and overall atmosphere created a great sense of a good place to eat and relax. The food was freshly cooked, perfectly seasoned, tasted great, good portions and very satisfying. There are daily specials which is always good to see. The quality of service was great: good, polite, pleasant, professional staff are worth their weight in gold and Regan’s has them. A place I’ll be returning to.

I stopped here many times and was always happy 😊. Today, the bar was very over staffed with "kids" nobody supervising them and they certainly needed it, a young lad brought us 2 pints of Guinness took my order and went out the door , 1/2 hour went by and I asked a young waitress did he even go to the kitchen with my order , she went away and I had to ask her again, couldn't be bothered to tell me it had only gone in , now the food was excellent 😀. Then ordered a coffee, it was dreadful , couldn't drink it . Now paying kids to do this job and asking us to pay top dollar for the food is not good enough 😒

Ordered food and after a 30 minute wait we asked a waitress how long our food would be, after another 10 minutes we asked her again, she said oh yea it's on its way. Food when it arrived was good, ordered coffee which was totally undrinkable. Too much irrelevant chatter behind the bar by staff, no apparent management
