River House Cafe in Cahir

The Bridgestone Guide plaques give you the impression of serious operation but everything feels off. I got the sense they should close for a season and rethink the place. My partner thought I was trying to get a coffee in a Chinese restaurant. You're met with a wall of fridges, like a canteen, when you go in. Coffee was poor, the dessert was okay but at worse than Dublin prices. Service was friendly. We wouldn't have been encouraged to sit down despite or because it was so empty inside. An opportunity is being missed.

Lovely lasagna cost 16 euro which was ok. but my friend had quiche and salad which was also 16 way too expensive for quiche

Lovely Cafe by the Castle! We stopped for sandwiches & coffee & both were delicious. The young woman working that day was an exceptional help to us in finding transportation to the next town on a Sunday evening, when buses & taxis are hard to come by. We were traveling from the US & may have been stuck in the wrong town for the night otherwise. The staff were so kind & very very helpful to us! All While keeping up with other customers coming in.
