Riverside Restaurant in Charlestown-bellahy

My husband and I had a wonderful few nights here looked after superbly by Anthony . The Full Irish was the best we’ve ever tasted with homemade bread and local produce. Endless pots of tea , fresh fruits , yoghurts , cereals and juices. The freshly baked scones were to die for ! Tea / coffee /biscuits always available in the gorgeous quirky sitting room. Our second visit here ( last one pre covid ) and so sorry the restaurant is now closed but plenty of lovely places to eat in Charlestown only a few minutes walk from the Riverside. We will definitely return as the location is perfect for visiting Knock Shrine and a few minutes from the airport .

Having absolutely no idea about the area, and in between a rock and a hard place after my friends had missed their flight and no car to continue my journey, it was an absolute godsend when Anthony let me into the Riverside. Not only was he super friendly, but he came to check how I was and the customer service was top notch. Very comfy, clean rooms on the side of a gorgeous river. Not only did he save me from the cold streets but he was more than happy to do so! Easiest five star review ever.

Immaculate rooms, right in the centre of Charlestown, Anthony was so helpful recommending places to visit. His breakfasts were excellent with warm homemade bread and fresh preserves
