I was very surprised at how good the hotel was for a 3star, the room I had with a riverside view was lovely, very clean, I suffer was a bad back but the bed was very comfy, very quiet, I had a lovely sleep, I had dinner in the bar the seafood chowder was lovely, staff were pleasent and very attentive to all customers, thankyou, breakfast was lovely and a great choice, I would highly recommend staying here, such a great price for bed and breakfast, Riverside is more like a 4star, I will be back again and thankyou for a lovely stay.

I'm staying here two nights on business and have been very impressed with the place. The rooms are immaculate and spacious, the staff are brilliant. The only down side is that there is only half a dozen parking spaces other than that you have to park on the road which is metred.

Very nice hotel, top-notch staff organization. Fair price. Several breakfast options, Irish or continental according to your desire. Parking for 10 spaces or 5 minutes walk, payable online.

We had a great one night stay here recently. The rooms were lovely and the staff at reception really helpful. They will warn you about parking as it's limited on site, so plan ahead.

What a fantastic experience from the early stages of booking it a few months back.Arlene was so helpful with all the organising..with menus to set up for the day. Food was soo amazing and staff exceptional..service was top class…so attentive to anything you asked or needed.Victoria was our waitress and she was very professional. I didn’t get other staff members name…but all were amazing on the day and supervisor/manager very attentive.All the staff played a role in making my daughter’s day so special for her. Keep doing what you do best ..

27/09/2024: We were on a driving tour of Ireland with friends. Staying at the nearby Glasshouse we were looking for a restaurant for dinner that was close by. The exterior was unpretentious but once inside there was a pleasant ambiance. Service was very attentive and the food was good. I had the tempura prawns as a starter which was huge and very tasty. For main I had the slow cooked beef which was also nice. All our party enjoyed the meal.

Henry Lyons Café

11/09/2024: It's fifty years since I last ate in this Sligo institution, and it was delightfully old fashioned even then. I was amazed to find it unchanged! The decor is lovely, with an airy cafe feel, though they've added a little extension. Packed to the door with locals - always a good sign - we were lucky to get a table. (It got a lot quieter at 2pm as everyone returned to work.) I wasn't expecting much, but the food really does taste homemade ! Quite how they manage this I don't know. We had the steak & mushroom pie and the glazed ham. Both great value for money. We highly recommend Lyons cafe for lunch.
06/07/2024: Met family members for brunch, we all had the Irish breakfast, both meaty and vegetarian versions. All delicious, 5 clean plates. Recommended.
