Roisin Dubh in Galway

Great night at Roisins for comedy night. Super cool staff as well. Nice enclave to get away and enjoy the craic!

I visited Róisín Dubh for their silent disco night. It was a fun experience to try for the first time and the atmosphere was lively. A couple of small things stood out. The Guinness was served in a non-branded glass, and after 10:30pm drinks are served in plastic cups. The crowd was quite young, which may appeal more to people in their early 20s. The silent disco had two music channels, mainly pop on one and UK grime on the other. It would have been nice to have a bit more variety. Also, the headphone volume cannot be adjusted, which made it feel quite loud after a while. Overall, a decent night out and a fun concept, but probably better suited to a younger crowd.

Attended a free show here and it was great. Crowd was actually into it and not glued to their phones. Staff was really friendly and quick. Bar also had 4 non alcoholic beer options which is awesome.

Sound staff, nice atmosphere, security are sound.

Silent disco great idea but restricted to upstairs. The main area was closed off. Wish I knew this before I came in. Would be great on the lower level.

The music was a little loud, so I basically had to scream, to talk to people. But it was still fun

Fantastic intimate venue. Came here for Bears Den at the end of September. Emailed ahead of time as I need assistance with accessibility (I walk with the help of a walking stick and cannot stand for long periods). A standing gig, but they had high stools available and we were able to sit by a table right in front of the stage. Fantastic experience.

Not the best venue tired run down. No seatng for event and was supposed to start at 7pm. Had to leave early. Loved the talk
