I finally got around to trying Roots Café & Bistro in Claregalway on my last day in Galway, having wanted to visit for a while. I had the classic Eggs Benedict for breakfast, and it was delicious. The food was fresh and well prepared, and I would happily return next time I’m in the area.

26/09/2026: A lovely restaurant with plenty of options. The cocktails and food were amazing and the staff were incredibly kind.
24/09/2026: We’ve eaten here twice for dinner and once for breakfast while staying at The Claregalway Hotel. My wife had the fish & chips and I had the beef shoulder both were very good. The fish & chips included so many fries she couldn’t finish them. The beef shoulder was so tender it pulled apart with just a fork. The mashed potatoes & gravy & vegetables were also good. We both got the beef the 2nd day since it was so good. The Irish breakfast was also very good. The service was good.
