Rossbeigh Bar: A Timeless Gem in Glenbeigh, Kerry Rossbeigh Bar in Glenbeigh, County Kerry, holds a special place in my heart. For as long as I can remember, it has been a family and friends' favourite spot, a place where we have gathered for good food, great drinks, and even better company. Over the years, this charming pub has become more than just a place to grab a pint—it’s a cherished part of my memories, and I continue to visit every time I return to the beautiful village of Glenbeigh. A Warm Welcome One of the things I love most about Rossbeigh Bar is the warmth of the welcome. From the moment you step through the door, you’re greeted with friendly smiles and an atmosphere that feels like home. The staff are always attentive, quick with a laugh, and eager to make sure you feel comfortable. It’s the kind of place where, whether you’re a regular or a newcomer, you’re treated like part of the family. This welcoming atmosphere has kept me coming back over the years, and it’s one of the reasons why Rossbeigh Bar stands out in the area. The Food: Simple, Delicious, and Always Fresh Rossbeigh Bar has a fantastic food menu that has never disappointed me, no matter what I’m in the mood for. Over the years, I’ve enjoyed everything from hearty traditional Irish dishes to lighter fare, always knowing that the ingredients are fresh and prepared with care. The seafood here, in particular, is exceptional. Being located near the coast, the pub takes full advantage of the fresh catch of the day, offering delicious fish dishes that reflect the best of Kerry’s coastal produce. The fish and chips are a personal favourite—crispy, perfectly cooked, and always served with a generous portion of tartar sauce. Aside from the seafood, the traditional Irish dishes, like stew and lamb, are comforting and flavorful. There’s nothing like sitting by the fire with a hearty plate of food after a long day of exploring the stunning scenery around Glenbeigh. The portions are always generous, and the meals are filling, making it the perfect place to refuel after a day of hiking, beach walking, or taking in the sights of the Ring of Kerry. The Atmosphere: Perfect for Socializing Rossbeigh Bar has a cozy, inviting atmosphere that makes it the ideal place to relax and unwind. Whether you're popping in for a quiet drink with friends or enjoying a lively evening with family, the pub never fails to provide a space where people can come together. The interior is traditional, with wooden beams, a warm fire, and friendly chatter that fills the air. It's the kind of place where you can easily strike up a conversation with locals or fellow travelers, making it a great spot for meeting new people and soaking in the authentic Irish pub experience. The pub also regularly hosts live music, and the atmosphere is always vibrant when the local musicians perform. There’s nothing quite like enjoying a pint while listening to traditional Irish tunes or contemporary hits in the heart of Kerry. It’s a true reflection of the local culture, and it always makes my visit to Rossbeigh Bar that much more enjoyable. A Place for All Occasions What makes Rossbeigh Bar so special is that it’s a place for all occasions. Whether you're looking for a casual pint with friends, a family meal, or a celebratory drink, the pub accommodates every need. It’s also an excellent spot for tourists, offering a taste of the authentic Kerry experience in a relaxed setting. Whether it’s your first time in Glenbeigh or your hundredth visit, Rossbeigh Bar always delivers an unforgettable experience. A Longstanding Favourite Having visited Rossbeigh Bar since I was young, it feels like an old friend—reliable, warm, and welcoming every time I walk through the door. It’s a place that holds so many memories for me, and it’s always a joy to return to. Whether it’s the good food, the lively atmosphere, or the great company, Rossbeigh Bar remains one of my favourite places to visit in County Kerry, and I know I’ll continue to enjoy it for many years to come.

We had a delicious meal at Rosspoint, beautifully situated by the sea. After dinner the live music started. There was a lot of couples dancing. I was still learning it and we were encouraged by the other fantastic dancers to join in. We had a very pleasant evening.

This is not for the restaurant- it’s for the coffee shop and sauna. We were brought fresh baked scones that were super tasty and had them with really nice lattes. I wish I got a picture of those- they were so cute with chocolate powder sprinkled on top. My husband did the sauna and really enjoyed it and the cold water tub. I think the best part was the friendly staff. They really care about the place and we felt like family!

We were fortunate enough to catch this place right before they closed. Thankfully our host was friendly with the staff and was able to call ahead on our behalf. Everyone was so kind and friendly and were nothing but gracious. And the views of the water were not bad either.

Totally unexpected, we had dinner there with family after a walk on this magnificent beach. Everything was incredibly good: perfectly cooked fish of the day, semi-hot Sticky toffee pudding and ice cream. All with the sun setting over the bay. Wow.

This place was just a delightful experience. The mountain at the back, contrasting with the open sea at the front was just a breath taking experience. The food didn't disappoint, rich and full of flavour. I'll definitely recommend this spot 👌

Rosspoint was such a lovely spot to dine. Between the gorgeous views of Rossbeigh Beach, amazing food and great staff I’d recommend Rosspoint to anyone looking for a meal. The steak sandwich is a can’t miss and the burger was fantastic as well. 10/10. Cannot wait to go back!

The Glenbeigh Hotel

19/11/2024: This place is so inviting from the outside (with lots of parking, which is handy). When you get inside, it feels even more homely and warm. The staff are excellent, food is great and there's a really nice atmosphere.
06/11/2024: Beautiful old style hotel with lots of Character. Large room with excellent view out on to bay. Beds really comfy and top class dinner and breakfast. Great service with very friendly and helpful staff. Caters well for large group of about 25 with great singer/ guitarist provided by hotel. Relaxed atmosphere. We will return for sure.

Emilie's

19/11/2024: Glenbeigh is amazing, but it's really places like Emilie's that make them worth the visit when it's raining outside and you want to escape to a corner of a warm and welcoming place. It's dog friendly too! The food is amazing - the sausage roll is award winning and I don't doubt it. The cookies are phenomenal too! Oh and don't get me started on the freshly baked sourdough...just buy a batch, some real butter and you'll be in heaven! The service isn't quick but that's the vibe of the place - take a break, pause and chill. The owner, Emilie is always there and happy to chat. The range of gifts on offer are fantastic too! It's not cheap here but there's thought and effort put into everything from the menu to the seating and general vibe. If you want to treat yourself to a cosy nook on a rainy afternoon, this is the place.
19/10/2024: Stopped in at 8pm. The restaurant was already packed. But the friendly staff offered to make a last pizza for takeaway and brought it out to the car. Had a lovely margarita pizza in the car.
