Rouge in Galway

First time her at the restaurant. I enjoyed the experience. Excellent food and service. Prices were not over the top.

Best steak in Galway and further. Excellent value and perfect portions size. Cater for kids too with half portions of adult meals. You have to try. 👌🏼👌🏼

We toured castles all day and rolled into town around 8:40, hungry af. We also had been wanting to find something nice, as we all had birthdays recently. The magic of finding Rouge elevated our whole trip to another level. The food was incredible but the service was the most hospitable I have ever had. Arianna was so welcoming and didn’t rush us at all. She saw to it that we felt like we were VIP. We never wanted for anything, and her recommendations were amazing. Richie and Otto were cooking and they had extensive knowledge of the menu and showed such passion for the food. As Richie said “it’s a family and you’re part of it now”. We ordered the beef fillet and the the sirloin but also got the full course. Every single thing was perfect. The pulled beef, the cod balls, the sweet potato, the mushroom 🤤 But again, it was the service that made this experience worth coming back. As long as Arianna is there, I promise to return. Its ear her passion and love for the place are what made it worth writing this review. Thank you Ariana and Rouge! This is the number one place in Galway and will feed you late and make you feel at home!

We love Rouge, it’s always busy and deserves to be. The menu is small, however what they do they do very well. The amuse bouche to start was plentiful and tasty, we both had fillet steak, perfectly cooked and cut like butter, the dauphinois potatoes rich in cream and garlic and the salad super fresh. We shared the most delicious crème caramel to finish, so light and so tasty. The staff are delightful, the lady in charge was lovely, she worked the restaurant seamlessly and efficiently. The only reason that we have taken one star off is because of a misunderstanding with a dietary requirement which meant that the amuse bouche could only be eaten by one of us. That said, the situation was very professionally dealt with. Highly recommended.

Amazing staff and amazing platters. It’s not expensive and is really comfortable space to enjoy an evening. Plus the hold the moth and butterfly story telling showcases which are so unique and amazing

Went here for dinner and it was fabulous. The food was great, I had an amuse bouche which was something but it tasted great. Then I had fillet steak with chips and apple juice and luckily for dessert they had vanilla ice cream with cream. The staff were lovely, the service was quick. It's easy to find. The menu is very limited with just fish of the day and steak so if your not a fish lover or a steak lover this place probably isn't for you. I would go again.
