Rouge in Galway

I came to Rouge in April 2019 when I lived in Galway and now I came back, I had a dinner this week on Wednesday and I have to say the food has nothing absolutely nothing to do with the one from 2019. The dishes are far more flavourful, made perfectly like in a French restaurant and I have been to France many times ^^ the transformation is extraordinary and I think the new chef is someone who deserves recognition because it was really incredible what he has prepared for us.

🌟 A great place in Galway! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with exceptional warmth. The entire team—servers, cooks, and owners—took such great care. We enjoyed absolutely delicious food: the beef fillet was to die for, the panna cotta a real treat, and what can we say about the espresso martini, lovingly prepared by the charming barmaid! The setting is warm and authentic, with magnificent antique decor that adds real personality to the place. A special mention goes to the wine list, refined and full of wonderful discoveries. And to top it all off: superb entertainment with a talented pianist who enhanced our evening. In short, an unforgettable experience! I recommend this place without hesitation. 👏🍷🍽️🎶

A great place for French cuisine with excellent Irish-style produce!!! And high-quality wines 😃 The beef was very, very good, cooked to perfection, and the welcome was very warm, and the staff were professional, dynamic, and friendly… what a pleasure!!!!🥰😂 I highly recommend this restaurant; we had a wonderful evening! Go there with your eyes closed.

Nos encanta Rouge, siempre está ocupado y merece estarlo. El menú es pequeño, sin embargo lo que hacen lo hacen muy bien. El bouche divertido para empezar fue abundante y sabroso, los dos tuvimos filete, perfectamente cocido y cortado como mantequilla, las patatas delfines ricas en crema y ajo y la ensalada súper fresca. Compartimos la crema de caramelo más deliciosa para terminar, tan ligera y sabrosa. El personal es encantador, la señora a cargo era encantadora, ella trabajaba el restaurante sin problemas y eficientemente. La única razón por la que nos hemos quitado una estrella es por un malentendido con un requisito dietético que significaba que la bolsa de diversión solo podía ser comida por uno de nosotros. Dicho esto, la situación se abordó de manera muy profesional. Muy recomendable.

A lo largo de los años Rouge ha sido un firme favorito por su ambiente, consistencia y deliciosa comida simple por un precio muy decente. Después de haber regresado dos veces en los últimos tres meses estoy encantado de informar que los estándares de comida siguen siendo altos, el personal muy agradable y el ambiente ayudado por Gerry en el piano es simplemente perfecto. Una visita obligada cuando en Galway en un momento en que los restaurantes se han vuelto casi inasequibles. Los entrantes divertidos fueron particularmente buenos esta última visita a principios de marzo y las ollas de chocolate fueron una adición maravillosa y el tamaño perfecto. Kudos también debe ir al barista para el martini expreso. Era la perfección.
