Route Fourteen Bar and Restaurant Togher in Cork

Not bad, not great. Food was fine, roast lamb was a bit tough, food wasn't very hot, veg was very al-dente but overall flavour was fine. They have a large variety of main courses, but that might also be part of the problem. Service was very slow despite being mostly empty when we arrived. Staff were very pleasant but seemed to lack direction which led to service being inattentive. There's plenty parking, a lot of choice on the weekend lunch menu and the interior is clean and comfortable but it seems a bit all over the place and left me feeling like it's not great value. Mains are roughly €16.95 - €19.95. The desserts were nice and it's Java Republic coffee. Might go back some time to see if it's improved but not anytime soon.

Great place for a get together, food excellent

Had a half portion of turkey and ham and it was just perfect! My friend had a fish starter with broccoli tempura which she loved! No dessert just 2 very beautiful cappuccinos 😊. Staff were amazing and the atmosphere lovely. Just one problem - I didn't know there was a lift there and had to walk down a lot of stairs to the Ladies even though I have severe back problems 😞. At least I'll know for next time 😊

The beef stu was amazing. I can't see anything else topping on the trip.

Absolutely brilliant service and great food

Found a gem in Route 14. Staff are friendly and helpful. Service is fast and food is piping hot. Food is of a very high quality. Most places have upped their prices and reduced their portions but not Route 14. The menu has something for everyone. Occasionally you are limited to 2 hours but this only reflects the popularity of Route 14 and those eagerly waiting to eat there. Sign of a popular eatery. Must try a Saturday night dinner and music.
