Killeen House Hotel was a wonderful surprise. It is a beautiful hotel with really nice and helpful staff, the rooms are very tidy and the beds are very very confortable. You can bring your pet with you and you get some free treats, a ball, a bowl and a blanket for your furry friend. The food in the bar and restaurant was also a very pleasant surprise. We had both a dinner and a breakfast in the hotel and both were very good, fresh and well made. The fish and chips especially was outstanding. You have WI-FI in all rooms, which works very well and the TVs are smart so you have access to the various services - Youtube, Netflix etc. For a hotel that is pet friendly, I found the room to be very clean, there wasn't any strange smell or any indication that other pets were in the room previously. You are allowed to take your dog anywhere in the hotel except for the restaurant so if you want to get some dinner or any food while also bringing the dog with you, you'll do so in the bar area. The location of the hotel is also very good - you are less than 10 minutes away (driving) from Killarney city center, 15-20 minutes away from Muckross House and Torc Waterfall and about 7 minutes away from a supermarket (Lidl) in case you need to do some quick shopping. There is only one negative I can say about this hotel based on my experience - The bathrooms NEED a refresh. This is a personal opinion but the 2 faucet setup (for cold and hot water) is outdated and just plain inconvenient. Also, bathrooms are in need of a handheld shower. I was disappointed to see that there is only a fixed showerhead option in the bathroom.

Just back from a beautiful stay in the kileen house hotel I can't recommend this hotel enough .The staff are excellent from the 2 ladies at reception to Derek the manager nothing was to much very pleasant to chat to and so welcoming the rooms are very spacious and spotlessly clean as was the rest of the hotel will definitely be back in the near future

Our room was very, very nice. It was clean, quiet and extremely cozy. Service was by far the best we have had. Egli and Xhersi, the two brothers who co-manage the hotel were exceptional and were amongst the highlights of our stay. Entire hotel was so friendly and welcoming. Food was also outstanding. The location is a short ride to downtown Killarney. Taxi can be secured at the front desk. Will definitely stay here again! 5 out of 5 stars across the board!!

Lovely hotel with excellent service, breakfast and staff. Rooms are clean, tidy and quiet. Bathroom had no signs of black mold as in other hotels we stayed in. The whole hotel has been decorated with good taste and finish.

Beautiful little hotel and the staff are amazing and so helpful, its not a big hotel therfore its not super busy or noisy, our room even had a jacuzzi tub as well as the shower (212). Breakfast was fantastic and a great breakfast menu so definitely book your breakfast with your stay. Killarney town is just a 5 min drive away. It cost me 14 euro down to the town with lots of bars and restaurants for you to choose from, unfortunately didnt eat dinner in our hotel but will next time as even some locals I spoke to told me the food here is amazing. A visit to Killeen is always a good idea . I have been visiting here the last couple of years and if possible it just gets better and better. I stayed here last weekend and what a gorgeous treat it was before the madness of Christmas commences. As always we received the warmest of welcomes at reception from the lovely Ola , we checked into our massive room which was absolutely spotless, nothing was out of place , the style is old world and the bed was the cosiest I’ve stayed in any hotel . We decided to have a pre dinner drink and the wonderful Xhersi took care of our drinks , I can highly recommend his cocktails and always served with a smile . We proceeded to the restaurant which is superbly ran by Egli , our waitress Michaela was a delight and nothing was too much trouble for her .The food here really is on another level to anywhere else around , you can tell the chefs love what they do and from the presentation to the flavors this restaurant really is fine dining. Little touches like gorgeous warm breads with tapenade , an amuse bouche of the evening really makes it special . The muted lighting , flickering candles and lovely music all add to the wonderful atmosphere. We had the mushroom and mussels to start and both were full of flavor and excellently executed. My partner had steak for his mains and I went for the chicken supreme , my partner said it was the tastiest most tender steak he has ever had. Even though after the starter I was not as hungry I polished off my mains with gusto , it was absolutely delicious, all mains served with a serving of veg and potatoes of the evening. For desert I always have room for chocolate and the fondant is so decadent yet delicate , a true pleasure for all chocolate lovers , my partner had eton mess and there was nothing left of his either. All of this was accompanied with a delicious red wine recommended by Egli. We had originally planned to go into town but such was the experience at dinner we decided to have a night cap in bar and retire to our room and enjoy our surroundings . On our second night we opted to eat at the bar to which there is a good variety to chose from , we had chicken wings and a burger and I honestly can’t stop thinking about the burger , so juicy and delicious , a massive portion. Breakfast at the hotel both mornings was amazing , great hot selection and a lovely buffet also. Again the waiting staff were all fantastic , warm and friendly. We were almost depressed checking out but our batteries were truly recharged and I’ve even started hinting at a night or 2 over the Christmas break. Well done to all involved in Killeen and absolute gem of a place with 5 star staff . Thanks and see you all soon .

My wife and I recently stayed at this lovely quintessential Irish country house hotel. This is not my first time to Kerry but it was our first visit to Killeen House, it won't be our last. The hotel was extremely clean, the room we stayed in was updated and very well appointed. The entire experience was exactly what we had hoped for, kudos to the amazing staff and management that made us feel truly welcome and cared for. We are very much looking forward to staying here again.
