RUGANTINO in Sligo

Not sure about this place. Dull and not good rigatoni ala Norma. I would say aubergine and courgettes had seen better days, swimming in an oily tomato ? sauce. Seafood spaghetti was plentiful but sauce like water. I wonder is there a lack of understanding of what good Italian food is?

Really impressed by the food here, the pasta itself is freshly made and flavourful sauces (we had the mushroom fettuccine) and the parmigiana melanzane was fantastic. Italians eating there speaks for itself! Service was a little brusque but food came in good time. Nice buzz on a Saturday evening

Nice and quiet on Sunday at 2 pm, beautiful music 🎵🎶 in background and food fabulous as always. Staff was not smiling which caught my eye.

The food was delicious and piping hot. It was served really quickly and the staff were very friendly. Well worth a visit, and it was reasonably priced.

I had the tagliatelle all bolognese. Came extremely hot, had obviously been microwaved. Sauce was too much meat,, not enough tomato, watery. Was over salted for my taste. Edible. Disappointing overall. Service was brusque.

Solid Italian restaurant. We wanted something other than the standard Irish restaurant menu and Rugantino didn't disappoint.

I would give it 6* if I could! Definitely the best Carbonara I ever had in the UK!! Nice rich flavour, with proper guanciale, and just egg sauce! (No cream, cheap ham, mushrooms and whatever people think should be in Carbonara!) To make it even better..... I was not given a spoon! What a joy! The staff are very friendly and helpful too! Great experience over all!!

I'm visiting from out of town and I'm so glad we found Rugantino! Every dish we ordered was amazing, but the seafood was the real highlight. It tasted incredibly fresh and every flavor was exactly on point. I was also really impressed that we didn't have to wait at all despite it being a weekend. The location is super convenient, and the staff were so nice and friendly that it made the whole experience even better. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in the city!

I love going Rugantino Sligo I love Italia food I liked going the Lasagne al Forno the main Lasagne dish and Penne Pasta and go for the Penne Primavera and I Love pizza's too and I would sometimes for Margherita and Americana BBQ base Pizza I'll enjoy 2 main pasta dishes too there Pizzzas Lovely too I'll back here for sure as Food is lovely I fully recommend Rugantino Sligo to everyone
