Nice spot on the water in the centre of town. It was a Sunday evening, so not much was open.
We sat at a table outside by the water.
The service was slow as they were busy.
The meals were OK.
Rigatoni with pork guanciale - which was strips of crispy pork fat I think, in a tomato based sauce plus a garlic & chilli prawn spaghetti. The tomato based sauce was tasty, but the pork was odd.
The spaghetti was pretty good according to my husband. Both dishes were quite oily.
We had a glass each of house wine.
The restaurant is beautiful both inside and out. It was lovely to dine outside overlooking the river. The pizza is really good, and the staff is very friendly and polite.
As an Italian, I was craving pasta after 7 days in Ireland, well I have to say I've satisfied that craving... I ate very well, pasta cooked in the Italian style and well made... I had the Linguine allo Scoglio... a ten... recommended to all Italians passing through
This is a lovely and lively restaurant with great food and ambience. The service was good and the wine chosen- Montepluciano D’Abbruzzo was very tasty and paired well with our pasta dishes. Their Pizzas are amazing and they’ve very good fish dishes. My pasta Arriabiata was very oily though - and I tend to order this dish in any Italian restaurant I visit so I know what is a great dish and this was not. However all other dishes were very tasty. It is a bit pricey but great for a special night out with family or friends.
Brilliant atmosphere and genuinely sound team of staff. Have gone there with family and with business and always throughly enjoy the experience and food
